NBI was founded by Dr. Paul Nelson in 2000 to address the growing demand for specialty reagents used in oligonucleotide synthesis. For over 30 years, Dr. Nelson has pioneered the development of modification and labeling reagents for use in automated DNA synthesis. He is the inventor of nine patents and author of numerous scientific papers relating to this field. The company continues to play an innovative role in the development of novel phosphoramidite and CPG reagents for the direct, non-isotopic labeling of olignucleotides during automated DNA synthesis.
