Joshua Miller is Principal and Managing Director of Niche Advisor's San Diego office. Prior to launching Niche Advisors, Mr. Miller was the Director of Asset Management for HVS Parking Consulting. While at HVS, Mr. Miller completed over 80 assignments for hotels and resorts of all brands, service levels, and market segments. Mr. Miller specialized in feasibility and investment analysis, real estate development planning, contract negotiation, procurement, technology implementation, training, and other project and asset management services for hotel parking clients designed to improve financial performance and service levels.
Mr. Miller developed his hotel operational acumen across various departments from the Mirage Casino Resort in Las Vegas, as well as for Hyatt Hotels and Destination Hotels and Resorts in San Diego. In his last role in hotel operations, Mr. Miller was the Rooms Executive for the Hotel del Coronado. He led hotel wide initiatives to develop and train hotel service culture models, improve staff retention, implement revenue management principles and technology, build community relations throughout a project's development entitlement process, negotiate union contracts with UNITE HERE, as well as all other operational aspects within the rooms division discipline. Mr. Miller is a certified trainer through Shane Green Enterprises and earned a B.S. from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration.

Sang Hwang is Principal and Managing Director of Niche Advisors' Boston office. Prior to launching Niche Advisors, Mr. Hwang co-founded HVS Global Hospitality Services' parking consulting division. Mr. Hwang was also a Corporate Six Sigma Black Belt for Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide where he was responsible for leading revenue enhancement, cost containment, and operations improvement initiatives for its worldwide headquarters and North American properties. At the property level, he was the Rooms Division Operations Analyst for The Westin Copley Place Hotel where he was responsible for the overall strategic, operational, and training initiatives for the rooms division. Mr. Hwang also developed his hotel operational acumen across various departments from The Westin Copley Place in Boston, The St. Regis in New York, and The Newport Marriott in Newport.
Mr. Hwang was also a project manager for Spire Group, a strategy consulting and executive education firm enabling clients to deliver service excellence. His clients included ITT Sheraton, Promus Hotel Corporation, Club Mediterranee, Harley Davidson, Deloitte & Touche, and Federal Express. Mr. Hwang is a certified trainer through Shane Green Enterprises and earned a B.S., magna cum laude, in Hospitality Administration from Boston University.
