Audrey Beck

Audrey Beck is the Executive Assistant with Aquatech. Audrey is a liaison between the consultants, clients, vendors, and product reps. She spearheads Aquatech's marketing efforts and coordinates consultants' participation in meetings, seminars, educational presentations, and other activities. Audrey takes the lead processing new projects and keeping our project status records up to date. Audrey earned a BS in Business Administration and Marketing from Stockton University in New Jersey. She put it to good use working in diverse roles including sales, real estate, finance, and marketing, before joining Aquatech in 2013.

Celine Criscione

Celine Criscione is the Office & HR Manager with Aquatech. Celine leads a small admin team and handles general office management. She deals with accounts payable, payroll, employee benefits, and insurance. Ms. Criscione works with the rest of her team to provide support to the consultants and clients. Celine holds a BA and an MA in Sociology. Prior to finding her way to the Bay Area, Ms. Criscione worked as an office manager for an engineering consulting firm in Sacramento.

Daniel Norman

David Piper has over 25 years of experience in the field of architecture. With a focus on technically challenging projects such as hospitals, labs, and aquarium facilities, David also has a depth of experience in affordable housing, having focused on housing in San Francisco for the last 6 years. Mr. Piper is a California licensed Architect since 1999, a LEED Accredited Professional, and a Registered Exterior Wall Consultant (REWC). David holds a Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. His professional memberships include American Institute of Architects (AIA), International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC), ASTM International, and United States Green Building Council (USGBC).

Diego Tonda

Diego Tonda has 20 years of experience as a project manager, land planner, and industrial facilities designer. He has expertise in construction management, civil engineering, and cost analysis. Diego has been responsible for the design, construction, and maintenance of more than 50 buildings. His experience includes team management, budgets, and delivering projects on time. He also founded Econstrucción, a company focused on the design of industrial facilities and installation of green roofs. Mr. Tonda holds a degree in Civil Engineering and an MBA. He is a US Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED Green Associate and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

Eduardo E. Carranza - President

Eduardo Carranza is a Principal and licensed Engineer with ACI. He has over 28 years of experience in the building enclosure industry. His construction litigation experience includes forensic work in cases related to construction defects, contract management, cost and time changes, personal injury, and failed waterproofing. Mr. Carranza has both courtroom and arbitration experience and is a qualified expert witness. Eduardo is a Licensed General Contractor (B), a Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC), a Registered Exterior Wall Consultant (REWC), and an AAMA Fenestration Master. He holds a BS in Civil Engineering, a Construction Management Certificate, and an MBA. Mr. Carranza is an active member of Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA - formerly AAMA), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Concrete Institute (ACI), ASTM International, and International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC).

Elton Cheung

Elton Cheung is Aquatech's Accounts Receivable Manager & Technical Assistant. Elton handles the billing cycle, working with Aquatech staff to ensure accurate time and expense entry. He produces invoices, coordinates with clients, and responds quickly and competently to daily requests for information and assistance from consultants, clients, and other members of the admin team. Along with his AR responsibilities, Elton is Aquatech's in-house tech guru and works closely with the consultants to get their various gizmos running smoothly. He creates and maintains shared document templates, provides support to the consultants, and processes new projects along with other admin team members. Mr. Cheung takes the majority of the incoming calls, speaking with new clients and connecting them with the appropriate consultant. Before joining Aquatech in 2009, Elton earned his BA in Economics from the University of California Santa Cruz.

Frank Wabiszewski

Frank Wabiszewski has over 15 years of experience in waterproofing design, 25 years in concrete repair design, contracting, and supervision, and 10 years in roofing design. He has been involved with quality assurance and project management in all three areas. Frank started in construction as a laborer, then moved into sales, followed by quality assurance, and lastly consulting. This full range of experience gives him a well-rounded, holistic outlook on building construction and repair. Frank has personally repaired leaks in over 100 subterranean structures including parking structures, subway tunnels, dams, power plants, sewage treatment facilities, tanks, and podiums. Mr. Wabiszewski is an International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) Registered Roofing Consultant (RRC). Frank now applies his extensive knowledge to design, quality assurance, and forensics in all types of watertight structures.

Georgianna Perez

Georgianna Perez graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Civil Engineering. She has rapidly expanded her skills while working with Aquatech and has become proficient with all that is involved with building enclosure consulting. Georgianna leads various projects and has extensive experience working in the field conducting and managing field testing and observations. She prepares reports, drawings, and details as needed for her projects. Ms. Perez is a member of ASCE and IIBEC.

John W. Martin

John Martin has more than 35 years of construction experience, encompassing a wide range of project size and type. He has significant experience as cost estimator, project manager and, since 1984, licensed general building and engineering contractor of private and public building projects. These have included residential single unit and large subdivision developments; mixed use, hospitality, educational, healthcare, historical and government facilities; civil design projects including hillside and sloped topography construction; concrete surfaces, elevated structures, and foundation for both material performance and system failures; construction site safe practices and construction site storm water pollution practices. John routinely consults on issues of construction process, methods, and materials. He investigates architectural and structural materials for their failure to perform as designed, with considerable experience in matters relating to water intrusion, failure of concrete systems, building envelope, and building systems. Mr. Martin has performed over 1500 investigations. He has provided sworn testimony in numerous depositions and trials. John has carried out case management support assignments for attorneys, insurance carriers, product manufactures, owners, and developers of common interest projects, single and multi-family residential projects and residential subdivisions, commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare, and public buildings. Mr. Martin holds a BS in Construction Engineering and an MS in Construction Management from University of Washington. John has qualified as an expert witness in California Superior Courts in several counties. He has provided expert consulting and sworn testimony in matters of construction site injuries and death cases, and cases involving Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) for both the plaintiff and defense.

Kimberly Agustin

Kim Agustin is the Lead Field Technician and helps lead the field-testing crews performing field services, particularly water, air, and smoke testing. Kim maintains Aquatech's testing equipment to ensure it is always in the best possible condition for field testing, including repairing and building racks, calibrating racks and gauges, and keeping everything organized. Kim is a licensed drone pilot which enables her to capture both aerial photos and video of properties and multistory buildings without alternative means of viewing the exterior. Ms. Agustin is a certified Concrete Slab Moisture Testing (CSMT) Technician.

Marcos Morales

Marcos Morales is an adept AutoCAD user and assists other consultants by creating waterproofing details. He assists with field water performance testing, site visits, and site observations, and drone work when needed. Marcos works alongside other consultants to provide cost to rebuild estimates. For homeowners without architectural plans to use for takeoffs and estimates, Marcos uses a combination of homeowners' photos, sketches, and descriptions, plus Google Earth images, to create handmade sketches of the entire property. He then uses AutoCAD to illustrate the details of the house or buildings. This allows him to do the takeoffs and complete the final cost estimate for the property. Marcos has a degree in Civil Engineering from San Francisco State University. He is a licensed drone pilot which enables him to capture both aerial photos and video of properties and of multistory buildings without alternative means of viewing the exterior.

Matt Ryan is a BIM specialist and designer with 10 years of building experience working with wood and metal. He is interested in building science and creative problem solving. Matt really enjoys using CAD programs to make 3D models. When needed, he provides field support for testing, but spends the majority of his time drafting details and anything else needed by the rest of the team.

Michael Robbins

Michael Robbins is an ACI Senior Architect with over 35 years of experience in the field of architecture. Michael has worked as a designer and technical architect on a diverse range of building types including historic renovation, adaptive re-use, institutional and most recently residential design. Michael has experience on large complex projects leveraging interdisciplinary design to provide holistic solutions. Michael provides consulting and monitoring services for the design and construction industry, focusing on the evaluation and prevention of water intrusion through the building enclosure. He advises architects, building owners, and contractors on the integration of critical waterproofing and flashing components. Mr. Robbins has been a California licensed architect since 1999 and a LEED Accredited Professional since 2007. Michael holds a Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and is a LEED Accredited professional. His professional memberships include American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). Reif H. McElroy - VP

Reif McElroy is a Principal at Aquatech and has more than 30 years of experience in general construction and construction consulting. Reif has held a California Contractors License in General Engineering and General Building since 1994 and has extensive experience in construction management and cost estimating. He has extensive experience in general engineering excavation and grading, underground and pipeline construction, and construction process, methods, and materials in single family and multi-family projects of all sizes. Reif also serves as an expert witness and consults on construction litigation as it relates to construction defects, construction management, and cost estimating for both civil and building construction, and contractor and developer standard of care. Reif routinely consults with builders, developers, and subtrades on means and methods relating to structural concrete, masonry, shotcrete, rough framing, waterproofing systems, roofing systems, various cladding systems including stucco, stone, metal siding, paneling, weather barrier systems, rainscreen, and flashing systems related to the building envelope, and California Building Code compliance. Since 2006, Reif has been a Certified Building Official (CBO) by the International Code Council (ICC). Mr. McElroy's professional memberships include American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE), Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), American Concrete Institute (ACI), and Stucco Manufactures Association (SMA).

Robert Hemphill is a Senior Consultant with Aquatech. Before joining Aquatech, Bob was a manufacturer's representative for roofing and waterproofing materials after spending 21 years as a California State Licensed Contractor. Robert is an International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) Registered Building Enclosure Consultant (RBEC)-one of two in California-conferred after having achieved the Registered Roof Consultant (RRC), Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC), and Registered Exterior Wall Consultant (REWC) credentials. Mr. Hemphill is a Construction Specifications (CSI) Certified Document Technologist (CDT) and maintains his California Contractors License. Bob is a member of Asian American Architects and Engineers (AAAE), Community Association Institute (CAI), CSI, Educational Community For HOA Homeowners (ECHO), IIBEC, Roofing Industry Committee on Weather Issues (RICOWI), Western Construction Consultants Association (WestCon), and Western States Roofing Contractors Association (WSRCA).

Rodney J. Calkum

Rod Calkum has over 20 years of experience in construction, project management, and design for a variety of projects including residential, commercial, and institutional. As a designer, supervisor, and tradesman, Rod has hands-on experience and direct knowledge of details, standard practices, and practical difficulties in specialty trades as well as the assembly and enclosure of a broad range of building systems. He also has extensive experience in investigation and management of construction defects and property damage. Rod leads our Quality Control Division, coordinating all field testing services. He heads a talented team of field technicians, technical associates, and other team members who perform a variety quality control testing. Mr. Calkum is in charge of the AAMA Certified Aquatech Field Testing Agency. Mr. Calkum has performed scores of investigations including structural, building envelope, and mechanical failures. He is skilled in the recognition of key investigation objects, effective reporting, and ongoing support for settlement, mediation, and arbitration. Tedd A. Waddell

Tedd A. Waddell has provided over 25 years of professional waterproofing consulting services specific to the avoidance of moisture intrusion problems and buildings' water resistance. He has collaborated with a wide range of professionals-including Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Attorneys, and Owners-to provide consulting services in support of design development, construction documents, construction administration, construction defect analysis, forensic evaluation, and litigation and mediation support. Tedd's areas of specialization include sub-grade waterproofing, plaza waterproofing, balcony waterproofing, architectural flashing and sheet metal, fenestration, cladding integration, roofing, and green roof waterproofing. Mr. Waddell has extensive experience in the design and installation of storefront windows and curtain wall systems. Tedd has completed over 15,000 hours of technologically competent building envelope consulting services pursuant to roof, exterior wall, window, waterproofing, and quality assurance observation for many light industrial, commercial, mixed use, and residential projects including the educational, health care, high tech, and hospitality industries. In addition to consulting and trade experience, he served for nearly four years as a commercial field representative for one of the industry's leading manufacturers of weatherization products. In this role, Tyler established himself within the architectural and construction communities of the greater Bay Area as a resource for specification and detail review, building envelope education, installation training, and quality assurance. Mr. McKenna's consulting specialties include review and development of water management details, standardized and diagnostic testing of fenestrations and assemblies, construction monitoring, and litigation support.

Wayne L. Scholten

Wayne Scholten has more than 30 years of diverse experience in construction and construction consulting. His broad field experience includes investigation and evaluation of various existing roof systems, design of new and replacement roofs, decks and walls, construction site management, and quality control. Wayne's background enables him to incorporate a comprehensive approach in forensic investigation, evaluation, specifications, and design for a wide variety of clients. An experienced building envelope consultant, Mr. Scholten's project involvement includes building component assessment using destructive and non-destructive techniques for identification of moisture infiltration. He has demonstrated his expertise in specification writing, construction cost estimating, on-site project management, and quality control on a wide variety of projects throughout California.
