Avera Marshall's history began in 1950 with the construction of the 56-bed Louis Weiner Memorial Hospital, thanks to a donation from the Weiner family and a city bond. Through the decades, the facility expanded to serve the community's health care needs. Avera St. Anthony's Hospital, along with our affiliated primary care clinics and physician offices, provides you and your family with comprehensive health care - and access to extensive medical specialties - as part of the Avera Health system serving South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota and Iowa.
Avera St. Anthony's offers comprehensive orthopedic care, including onsite Avera Orthopedics surgeons and podiatrists, who can diagnose, treat and repair a wide range of injuries or conditions that affect bones, joints and muscles.
Avera St. Anthony's Hospital, a 25-bed hospital in O'Neill, NE, was originally established in 1952 as St. Anthony's Hospital. The Sisters of St. Francis expanded the town's Doctors Brown and French Hospital via a fund drive with prominent local support. An addition was completed in 1975 and in 1989, the Hospital Board expanded to involve the community more to develop funding for expansion.
Avera St. Anthony's Hospital has been a part of Avera since 1998. With a tradition of service inspired by the Sisters of the Presentation and Benedictine Orders, Avera St. Anthony's Hospital serves the health needs of north-central Nebraska with accessible, cost-effective care. Review our:
