Al Terry built his first deck while a GC of interior renovations in NYC in 1996 and ultimately founded and branded his current company, New York Decks in 2000. His original training in boat building was key to quickly establishing the company in the vanguard of urban deck building, and the complex curves portrayed in his projects testify to that early experience designing and building boats on the south shore of Long Island in the 1970's. Today New York Decks ranks as the premier builder of outdoor spaces in NYC. Mr. Terry has received national acclaim for his iconic work at the Mercedes House Fitness center where he personally engineered the support structure of the elevated circular wading pool deck for his teams to build out in the spring of 2012.

Keith Reilly - VP

Keith Reilly also has a background in boating, but he comes to NYC and the Brooklyn Navy Yard facility of New York Decks from Ireland, where he received a formal degree in architectural technology from Waterford Institute of Technology. He joined the company in 2012 and has brought a new level of technical proficiency and mechanical exactitude to the company, expanding its capabilities into more commercial and institutional projects as well as growing the company's capacity to tackle the ever-increasing sophistication of contemporary residential landscape design.
