As the Director of Communications, Alex Johnson oversees all aspects of communications and public education for the NTMWD, including managing the district's communications strategy, engaging in public education for water conservation and promoting the district's operations, programs and projects.
Experience & Background
Alex joined NTMWD in October 2023. Prior to joining the NTMWD team, Alex served as Director of External Communications for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. During his 18 years at the Dallas Fed, Alex served in a variety of roles focused on strategic communications, media relations and public education.

Role
As the Deputy Director - Water and Wastewater, Billy George oversees all aspects of the regional Water and Wastewater Systems.
Water includes operations and maintenance of 6 water treatment facilities, 14 pump stations and over 600 miles of transmission lines. Nearly two million residents in over 80 communities in North Texas rely on treated water from NTMWD facilities. Billy also directs the District's water supply planning and resource management.

Now retired, Director Imrie served as Executive Vice President for 19 years at GMR - a Facility Analysis and Engineering Firm headquartered in Heath, Texas that provides services to Retail, Financial, Commercial and large global facility partners. He also previously held executive leadership positions at the corporate level with Spiegel Inc., First Texas Savings, First Gibraltar Bank, Bank of America and On Target Supplies and Logistics. Director Imrie has extensive experience in corporate security and investigations, procurement and contract negotiation and bank operations, including managing large operating budgets.

Serves as President of Crump & Associates, Inc., a manufactures representative for the industrial and power transmission industry.
Prior to retirement, Ms. Kever worked as an Independent Communication Consultant with high-level executives, primarily in the energy and pharmaceutical markets, to establish a process for issue management and to develop communication strategies related to preparation for FDA Interactions and Energy-related Regulatory Proceedings.
While Ms. Kever served on McKinney City Council, she was appointed to the Regional Transportation Council, and represented McKinney on the Dallas Regional Mobility Coalition. In 2015 she was awarded the William J. Pitstick Regional Excellence Award for her commitment to regionalism by North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG).
Ms Kever has served on numerous Boards and Commissions for the City of McKinney and currently serves as a Board Member on the UTA College of Engineering Advisory Board and the Family Health Center of McKinney

Role
As Assistant Deputy for Wastewater, Hunter Stephens oversees all aspects of the Wastewater System which includes leading a staff of over 250 people, 13 wastewater treatment facilities and a complex wastewater conveyance system; operating on an annual budget in excess of $220 million. Wholesale wastewater services are provided for 24 cities and 1.4 million people in the North Texas area.
Experience & Background
Hunter has worked in the water and wastewater industry for more than 20 years. Prior to joining the District, he served as the Assistant Director of Public Services with the City of Richardson. Hunter joined the District in 2020 as the Water Conveyance System Manager. He holds both a Class "A" Water Operator and a Class III Wastewater Collection Operator License in the State of Texas.

Born into a longtime Texas family, Mr. Sutherland graduated from Denton High School, attended Oklahoma Baptist University, then graduated from Baylor University and Baylor Law School. After years working out of Washington D.C.; Anchorage, Alaska; and Honolulu, Hawaii; Mr. Sutherland returned home to North Texas in 2003.
Throughout his legal career, Mr. Sutherland has worked as counsel with various cases and matters in Alaska, Hawaii, Washington State, Washington D.C., and Massachusetts. He staffed with the United States Senate Intelligence Committee; was Alaska House of Representatives Director of the Health, Education and Social Services Committee; and was Assistant Campaign Manager in an Anchorage, Alaska mayoral race. He served pursuant to various federal government contracts domestically and internationally, in intelligence-related matters.
In his younger days, Mr. Sutherland was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Oklahoma Baptist University and Baylor University varsity tennis teams. He hosted the Baylor University "Rights and Remedies" radio legal talk show. Later, he was Chairman of the Young Republicans of Alaska and qualified for the Mensa Society.
Mr. Sutherland currently resides in Princeton, Texas.
Dr. Farmer retired after 44 years in public education. He served the last 20 years of his career as Executive Director of Region 10 Education Service Center.

Mr. Sweeden is a partner and co-founder of Five Star Advisor Partners, LLC, providing financial services, retirement plans, and insurance.
Mr. Boren is a Registered Professional Petroleum Landman and has been for over 15 years. Through his work, he's gained a broad knowledge base of land acquisition, oil, gas and water pipeline acquisition and construction, and solving production issues across the eastern half of the United States. The responsibilities of a Petroleum Landman include targeting acreage through lease acquisition, preparing full abstract title runsheets, purchasing and implementing oil, gas and water pipeline construction, and increasing well site productivity through securing and overseeing power line easements and installation to improve well productivity.
This appointment is Mr. Boren's first official Civic Leadership role, and he looks forward to serving our region.

Until retirement after forty years with Raytheon, Larry Thompson served on the Raytheon Senior Information Technology Leadership Team as Director of Solutions Engineering and Enterprise Architecture. He led the development of the company's cloud architecture and was responsible for the design of the enterprise solutions to achieve process improvement and automation.

Director Roland is a retired Police Executive with 32 years of service, 11 years with the Dallas Police Department and 21 years with the McKinney Police Department. He retired as the Assistant Chief of Police from McKinney PD in 2021.
Director Roland graduated from the University of North Texas in 1992, with a B.S. degree in Emergency Administration and Disaster Planning. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration Management College. He is also a current board member for the Minuteman Disaster Response.
Director Roland lives in Richardson, Texas where he served as the Chairman of the City Planning Commission and as the Chairman of the Zoning Board of Adjustment/Buildings and Standards Commission. He served on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and as past President of the Board of Directors for CASA of Collin County. Director Roland has been active in his Homeowner Association for over 2 decades. He is married to Dr. Sandy Roland, and they have two grown children.

Mr. Peasley retired from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1987 as a Lieutenant Colonel after 20 years of service. In 2007, he retired from Bell Helicopter, where he worked as an Experimental Test Pilot and V-22 Tilt-Rotor Aircraft Program Manager.
Ron had a 19-year business career where he served in various sales and marketing roles within Corning, Alcatel, Fujitsu Network Communications, and several high-tech startup companies. Ron spent the majority of his business career at Fujitsu where he last served as Vice President - Sales responsible for $1.2 billion in annual revenue. Ron left the business environment in 2004 where he now serves for the past sixteen years as the Executive Director of the Prestonwood Foundation, a non-profit ministry of Prestonwood Baptist Church. Ron was ordained into ministry in 2007. Ron has been married to Gwen for 29 years, and they have two adult children.
