In 1989, brothers Jim and Bill Bord founded Bord Masonry. Bord Masonry built residential and commercial structures throughout Central and Northern Wisconsin. They became well known for their unique stone and brick designs. The products they used to create these designs were difficult to find locally, so Bord Masonry started manufacturing its own stone products out of concrete. Like many start-up companies, their story began in Jim's garage, where they made unique stone products from a lightweight concrete mix.
