Andreas Dieckow

Andreas Dieckow is a Principal Product Manager in the Systems Development department, focusing on InterSystems' innovative database product, Caché. He works closely with customers and InterSystems staff to ensure that Caché provides the performance and functionality that meets the needs of professional application developers. Previously, Dieckow worked as the Technical Director and Senior Sales Engineer at InterSystems Germany, helping customers develop and deploy Caché-based solutions. Prior to joining InterSystems in 1992, Dieckow worked as a Developer and Technical Director for GEC GmbH in Germany. Dieckow studied Computer Science and Economy at the Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen, Germany.

Dr. Jim Arlow

Since 1990, Dr. Jim Arlow has been programming and designing object-oriented systems, including object models, for companies such as Credit Suisse, First Boston and British Airways. A respected object-oriented consultant, he has written and delivered training courses in London, Frankfurt, and Zurich. Jim is a regular speaker at conferences such as Object World and has been a guest speaker at City University, London, and the British Computer Society.

Dr. Marko A. Rodriguez

Dr. Marko A. Rodriguez (http://markorodriguez.com) is a graph systems consultant. He works with organizations to help them understand the graph space and apply its ecosystem of technologies to solving real-world problems. Marko's background includes being a Director's Fellow at the Center for Nonlinear Studies at Los Alamos National Laboratory and a Graph Systems Architect at AT&T. He received his BS in Cognitive Science from the University of California at San Diego and his MS and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California at Santa Cruz. Marko lives in a small farming community just north of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Dr. R. G. G. "Rick" Cattell

Dr Rick Cattell is an independent consultant. Dr. R. G. G. "Rick" Cattell was a Distinguished Engineer at Sun Microsystems. He has worked for over twenty years at Sun in management and senior technical roles, and for ten years in research at Xerox PARC and at Carnegie-Mellon University. Dr. Cattell is best known for his contributions to database systems and middle ware - particularly J2EE, object-oriented databases, object/relational mappings, and database interfaces. He is the author of several dozen papers and six books. He was a founder of SQL Access (a predecessor to ODBC), the founder and chair of the Object Data Management Group (ODMG), the co-creator of JDBC, and the author of the world's first monograph on object/relational and object databases. Prof. Mohammed J. Zaki

Mohammed J. Zaki is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. Zaki received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Rochester in 1998. His research interests focus on developing novel data mining techniques for bioinformatics, performance mining, and web mining. He has published over 100 papers on data mining, co-edited 11 books (including "Data Mining in Bioinformatics, Springer-London, 2005), served as guest-editor for several journals, served on the program committees of major international conferences, and co-chaired many workshops (BIOKDD, HPDM, DMKD, etc.) in data mining. He is currently an associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, action editor for Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery: An Int'l Journal, and editor for Scientific Programming, Int'l Journal of Data Warehousing and Mining, Int'l Journal of Computational Intelligence, and ACM SIGMOD Digital Symposium Collection. Zaki received the National Science Foundation CAREER Award in 2001 and the Department of Energy Early Career Principal Investigator Award in 2002. He also received the ACM Recognition of Service Award in 2003, and an IEEE Certificate of Appreciation in 2005.

Prof. Stefan Keller

Prof. Stefan Keller is Professor for Information Systems at Hochschule für Technik (HSR) in Rapperswil, Switzerland. Prior to joining HSR in 2001, Stefan has worked at Software-Ergonomielab Credit Suisse, Unisys (Schweiz) and Swisstopo, Bern. Stefan has graduated as geo computer scientist at University Zürich. At HSR, Stefan founded the Competence Center for Integrated GIS (CC integis) and GISpunkt (www.gis.hsr.ch), the platform for Geoinformatics and GIS-Applications at the HSR, which operates together with the Institut für Landschaft und Freiraum (ILF). His fields of activity include information systems, databases, search engines, geo information systems, software development in Java and mobile systems, as well as further education in various Master (MAS) and Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS). He is a member of Schweizer Informatik Gesellschaft (SI), Geosuisse and the Organization for Geoinformation (SOGI).

Rick Grehan
