DAVID SWANN

"A group show of handcrafted furniture by David Swann and Tim Southworth with fused glass by Ray Ahlgren will be shown at The Dalles Art Center October 1-31... "Swann graduated from an Oregon state certified woodworking apprenticeship program in Portland and won first place in the 1976 woodworking apprenticeship contest. He has had two shows at the Columbia Art Gallery in Hood River and belongs to the Oregon Woodworkers Guild. Two of his pieces were shown in the Oregon state capitol in 1985. He built a table for the Magna Carta display at the Pregon Historical Society Museum in Portland. Commissions comprise the bulk of his work.
