Since 2019, Omega Funeral Home has created a Candlelight Service Tribute Video in remembrance of our loved ones, that is presented annually at our Candlelight Service held in December. The Tribute Video is also available for viewing on our website during the holiday season... We have had a long and reputable tradition in the city of Portage la Prairie since our establishment in the early 1920's by Ralph N. Rae. The home became the McMaster Funeral Home in 1950, when George R. McMaster purchased the funeral home from Rae's. In 1973 the Portage Consumers Co-operative purchased the Funeral Home from George R. McMaster. May of 2016 brought change to Omega Funeral Home when Matthew Nichol purchased the Funeral Home from the Portage Consumers Co-operative.
