The Norwalk Education Foundation is a registered 501 (c)(3) tax exempt charitable organization in the United States and is registered with the State of Connecticut's Public Charities Division of the Department of Consumer Protection... The Norwalk Education Foundation (NEF) has been working on behalf of the students and teachers in the Norwalk Public Schools since 1998. Like scores of local education funds throughout the United States, we work with, but are independent of, our local school systems... We work for accountability and achievement of high standards in public education, and advocate for significant improvement in public schools. We also generate resources to address specific needs throughout the Norwalk school system.
