Alexander J. Parr

Alexander Parr focuses on estate planning, trust planning, estate administration, trust administration and business succession planning. With experience in a broad array of legal areas, Alexander is able to provide well-rounded advice to meet his clients' estate planning needs. He enjoys working with clients to create tailor made estate planning strategies that are based upon their unique financial and familial situations. When a loved one has passed, Alexander is there to guide trustees and executors through the estate administration process with patience and understanding. Beyond estate planning and estate administration, Alexander is pleased to assist clients with other legal services including: planning for disabled individuals (including Henson Trusts and Registered Disability Savings Plans), drafting power of attorneys for property, drafting power of attorneys for personal care. advising attorneys in the course of their duties, drafting trust deeds including family trusts and alter ego trusts and business succession planning. Alexander was born and raised in Oakville and is a member of the Canadian Bar Association / Ontario Bar Association (CBA/OBA). After obtaining an undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario, he earned his LL.B. with honours from the University of Leicester and his LL.M. from Osgoode Hall Law School. In his spare time, Alexander enjoys spending time with his family, relaxing at the family cottage, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling and enjoying all genres of music.

Francis R. Allen

Frank recently joined O'Connor MacLeod Hanna LLP and brings to the Business Law group extensive experience and expertise in corporate and commercial law particularly in the areas of business structuring, mergers and acquisitions, financing and investments, corporate reorganizations and shareholder matters. Frank has worked with clients ranging from start-ups to multi-national businesses and has advised boards of directors, C-suite executives and management teams on day-to-day matters, transactions and business-critical matters. He enjoys assisting clients in developing solutions and achieving successful outcomes. He is committed to delivering Bay Street results to clients through Main Street relationships. Frank has practised at a senior level with three major national business law firms in Toronto and Calgary. Over his years of practice, he has been recognized as a leading corporate and commercial, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and corporate governance lawyer by national and international legal ranking organizations. He has lectured on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance at the law faculties of three Ontario universities. In addition to his private practice experience, Frank has served as the General Counsel at the Ontario Securities Commission and, more recently, as a Senior Legal Counsel at the Commission. Frank was also an Assistant Deputy Minister in the Ontario Ministry of Finance dealing with financial services and securities regulatory policy and was the Executive Director of a leading national not-for-profit organization advocating for the rights of financial consumers and retail investors.

Kellie Gray

Kellie Gray is a member of the Labour and Employment and Civil Litigation practice groups at O'Connor MacLeod Hanna LLP. Being from Oakville, Kellie is proud to practice law in a place she calls home. Kellie's practices focuses on employment and labour law and litigation. Kellie is a passionate, smart and strategic advocate on behalf of her client's interests. Representing both employer and employee clients, Kellie helps her clients navigate through issues such as wrongful and constructive dismissals, human rights complaints, pension disputes, grievance arbitrations, occupational health and safety issues, overtime policies and entitlements, breach of contract, restrictive covenants and alleged theft of employee and customer lists. Kellie also has experience drafting policies, employment and independent contractor agreements, and termination letters and advising her employer contracts on various disciplinary issues as they arise in the workplace. Though she strives to reach an early resolution to any employment dispute, Kellie is prepared to litigate if necessary. She has experience litigating a wide range of matters including wrongful and constructive dismissals, human rights complaints, breaches of contract, oppression and derivative actions, fraud, negligent misrepresentation, partnership disputes and professional negligence. Kellie has appeared before various boards and tribunals, in arbitrations, the Ontario Superior Court, as well as on the commercial list. Kellie attended law school at Queen's University, where she won multiple academic awards including the W. Leonard prize in Evidence, the Davies Ward Philips & Vineberg LLP prize in Corporations and Taxation and the Alberta Scholar at Queen's Law. She also has a Bachelors of Arts from McMaster University. Prior to joining OMH, Kellie practiced employment and complex commercial litigation at a well-respected litigation boutique downtown Toronto. Kellie is and has always been passionate about giving back to her community. In the past, she has volunteered for the Big Brothers and Big Sisters club of Halton, the Hamilton and Halton boards of education and the Boys and Girls club of Calgary. She currently sits on the Board of Directors of Munn's Child Care Centre and Oakville Kiwanis Meals on Wheels. She is also the chairperson of the Human Resources Network. When she is not working or volunteering, Kellie likes to go camping with her family, cooking, traveling and exploring Oakville's network of trails.
