Akihiro Yamazaki is a partner in the firm's Chemical Patent Prosecution, Pharmaceutical/Medical Devices and Litigation practice groups. His practice includes patent litigation, opinions, client counseling, licensing advice, due diligence studies and the preparation and prosecution of patent applications.
A patent attorney and native of Japan, Mr. Yamazaki represents primarily foreign companies, including their U.S. affiliates and subsidiaries, with respect to a wide range of chemistry-related and pharmaceutical technologies. These technologies include active pharmaceutical ingredients, formulations, semiconductors, light-emitting diode (LED), organic light-emitting diode (OLED), and optical parts and components.
With experience in both litigating and prosecuting patents, Mr. Yamazaki frequently travels to Japan and counsels Japanese companies to identify issues and challenges and to protect their interests in the United States and worldwide. Mr. Yamazaki also provides advice regarding intellectual property matters through the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and the U.S. court system, and legal trends impacting client industries.

Aldo Martinez is a partner in Oblon's Electrical Patent prosecution group. He brings more than 10 years of real-world industry experience as an electrical engineer to his practice of intellectual property law. Mr. Martinez helps clients develop world-wide patent portfolios, and directs and manages patent prosecution on behalf of clients in Asian, European, Latin American, and Middle Eastern countries, such as Japan, China, India, Russia, the European Union, Mexico, Argentina, Israel and Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Martinez is experienced in a wide range of technological areas including factory automation and industrial controls, wired/wireless communication systems, automotive electronics, medical electronics, display technology (LED, LCD, TFT), battery systems, and digital health systems. He also helps clients identify and prosecute standard-essential applications, including applications related to NFC, IEEE 802.11, LTE, LTE-A, MPEG-DASH, ATSC, and other technological standards.

Alexander B. Englehart is a registered patent attorney serving as Of Counsel in the firm's Litigation Practice Group. He works on all areas of patent litigation in U.S. district courts, the ITC, and the USPTO. In addition, he provides legal opinions to help clients preemptively manage their risk as they develop new products and services. He also prosecutes patent applications for the firm's Electrical/Mechanical Practice Group.
Mr. Englehart litigates cases involving a wide range of technologies, including mobile devices, wireless networking, sporting goods, automotive parts, metallurgy, and cosmetics. Mr. Englehart also advises clients on the interrelationship between district court, ITC, and post-grant proceedings at the USPTO. His cases often involve high-stakes litigation in conjunction with post-grant proceedings. He has also represented clients in intellectual property disputes at industry trade shows.
During law school, Mr. Englehart served as a judicial extern for Judge Randall Rader of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and Magistrate Judge Bernard Zimmerman of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. He has lectured on ITC practice at the University of Washington's Center for Advanced Study and Research on Innovation Policy and to the Japanese Intellectual Property Association. He is currently based in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area.

Arthur I. Neustadt is a founding member and a named partner in the firm. He established the firm's litigation practice and has been actively involved in intellectual property litigation in courts throughout the United States for many years. He has successfully tried jury and bench cases in varied areas of technology before the federal district courts and the ITC and has argued appeals before the Supreme Court, the Federal Circuit and the federal regional circuit courts of appeal. Mr. Neustadt has lectured widely, both domestically and internationally, on intellectual property litigation. He litigated the landmark Festo v. SMC case over a twenty year period in which he successfully argued before the Supreme Court and twice before the en banc Federal Circuit. He argued again before the Supreme Court in Medtronic v. Boston Scientific.
Mr. Neustadt was designated by Legal Times as one of the top Washington, D.C. area intellectual property attorneys. Chambers USA refers to him as "very conscientious, very bright and very knowledgeable," "an inspirational and highly creative attorney," "a true landmark setter," "known to get great settlements quickly due in part to the good grasp he has of the dynamics of litigation" and "according to competitors, ‘proficient at identifying issues and working with a cost-benefit approach.'" Bogdan A. Zinchenko is an associate in Oblon's Electrical Patent Prosecution group. His practice focuses on various aspects of patent law including patent drafting, prosecution, counseling and litigation support. Mr. Zinchenko, who is a former electrical engineer, works primarily in the electrical, software and mechanical arts. His legal experience includes matters involving analog/digital integrated circuits, automotive technologies, computer networks, defense systems, fabrication, liquid crystal displays, medical devices, natural language processing (NLP), semiconductor devices, telecommunications and video processing.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Zinchenko worked at a DC based general practice firm, preparing and prosecuting patent applications and counseling a variety of clients primarily on the development of IP strategies and patent portfolio management.

Brian Darville chairs the Trademark and Copyright Practice Group at Oblon. He has over two decades of litigation experience in federal courts throughout the U.S. focused primarily on trademark and copyright litigation. He counsels clients regularly on trademark, unfair competition, copyright, and ecommerce legal issues and has experience in all aspects of trademark and copyright prosecution, including clearance opinions, trademark portfolio management, licensing and enforcement. He regularly handles software copyright infringement litigation. Mr. Darville also frequently handles administrative proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Mr. Darville received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia, his law degree (Juris Doctor) from the University of Virginia School of Law, and an LL.M. in Patent and Intellectual Property Law, with Highest Honors, from the George Washington University Law School.
He is admitted to practice before the Virginia State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar. He is also admitted to practice before numerous United States District Courts and United States Circuit Courts of Appeals.
Mr. Darville is a member of the International Trademark Association, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the Copyright Society of the U.S.A., as well as other professional associations.
