We are a group of practicing Licensed Midwives from every part of the state of New York who have came together to meet the needs of midwives practicing in every type of practice setting... New York Midwives acknowledges our role in midwifery's history of white supremacy and racist exclusion, described in full in ACNM's truth and reconciliation statement. Our vision is for NYM to be an expansive, diverse, and anti-racist organization that amplifies historically excluded voices throughout the state in pursuit of empowered, and informed healthcare for every New Yorker.
