Carissa Michie

Carissa Michie is Okanagan Skin Care Centre's (soon to be Dermapure) Clinic Coordinator, Consultant, along with Marketing lead! Carissa, born and raised here in Kelowna, with shy of ten years in the medical aesthetic industry, has worn many hats during her tenure. She is well known for her patient care, love for skincare, and extensive knowledge of medical aesthetics! She has experience with multiple clinics, medical providers, and aesthetic brands over the years with an outlook from clinics all over Canada. When she is not sharing her passion, you can find her at the hockey rink with her two children, or in the Great Outdoors with family and friends

Christie Willms

Christie is one of our Registered Nurse/Skin Care Specialists. She is a member of the Society of Plastic Surgical Skincare Specialists. Christie obtained her Bachelor of Nursing Degree through UBCO. She has specialized in Critical Care and worked in ICU as well as the Recovery Room at the Kelowna General Hospital. We are excited to have her as part of our team now. Christie was born in Kelowna and enjoys spending time with her two children. She likes the Okanagan's hiking hot spots as well as the wineries. She also enjoys Yoga.

Denita Anderson

Denita Anderson RN, was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, and has grown up and raised her family in Kelowna. She received her Nursing Education through Okanagan College, and her Critical Care Certification through BCIT. She graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1989, worked at Kelowna General Hospital, prior to coming to the Okanagan Skin Care Centre in 2005. She has received extensive training in Skin Care since joining the clinic. She is certified and performs all the technologies and treatments that are offered at the Okanagan Skin Care Centre including injectables (Botox and fillers), laser treatments, chemical peels, and pharmaceutical skin care products.

Dr. Brian Peterson

From 1986 - 1991 Dr. Peterson completed resident training in Plastic Surgery at the University of British Columbia. After successfully completing his specialty exams with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, he undertook additional advanced Fellowship training focusing on Aesthetic Cosmetic Surgery, and Reconstructive Breast Surgery in Nashville, Dallas, San Francisco, New York and Miami. Upon completion of his fellowship training in 1992, Dr. Peterson entered practice in Kelowna with the primary focus of his practice being Aesthetic Cosmetic Plastic Surgery, and post-mastectomy Breast Reconstruction. He performs in the range of 500 Cosmetic Surgical procedures each year and is considered to be an expert in the field of Cosmetic Surgery. The Okanagan Health Surgical Center was created by Dr. Peterson to allow him to provide an environment of excellence dedicated to Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Peterson is a member in good standing with the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, and serves on the Executive of the Canadian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He is also certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, as well as holding memberships in the American Society of Plastic Surgery, and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Peterson is the Medical Director of the Okanagan Health Surgical Center.

Kimberly Sawatzky

As a member of the Society of Plastic Surgical Skin Care Specialists, Kimberly has received training and certification throughout Canada and the US. This includes all aspects of what the Okanagan Skin Care Centre has to offer. These include tissue fillers, Botox, lasers, Thermage and a large variety of other skin care needs. Kimberly has been nursing since 1991. Her nursing experience includes extensive training as an operating room RN. Kimberly has lived in Kelowna since 1993 with her husband. She has two grown sons which are her pride and joy. She loves her pets, cycling, and the outdoors.

Krista Gray

Krista Gray is Okanagan Skin Care Centre's (soon to be Dermapure) Clinic Director. With over 22 years in aesthetics, administration, and management and with a passion for enhancing natural beauty, Krista leads a team of experts to provide cutting-edge non-surgical cosmetic treatments. Our goal is to help our patients achieve their desired look while prioritizing their safety and well-being. When she is not at the clinic, you can find Krista exploring the vineyards or enjoying everything the Okanagan offers with her family.

Marianne Cunanan

  • Medical Office Assistant
Marianne was born and raised in the Philippines and graduated with a diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Polytechnic University in 2007. She moved to Canada in 2010 and worked at the Delta Grand Hotel as a banquet server, a lobby ambassador and a receptionist for 6 years. She found a passion for working in the medical field and began as a Pharmacy Assistant at Save on Foods Pharmacy and an Office Assistant at an Optometry Clinic for 2 years. She recently joined Okanagan Skin Care Centre (soon-to-be Dermapure) Mission in November of 2022 as an Office Assistant. She loves dancing and playing volleyball in her free time and spends time fishing with her family and friends on weekends.

Michelle Eaves

As a Registered Nurse, she has had the opportunity of working with diverse populations both in the hospital and in the community. It was in 2016 that Michelle decided to pursue her passion for aesthetic medicine began working with a prominent Ontario Plastic Surgeon. Michelle was given the unique opportunity to be directly mentored by a plastic surgeon under whom she learned the reconstructive and plastic surgical field of medicine. Learning the art of facial sculpting directly under a renowned plastic surgeon has given her a superior knowledge of facial aesthetics and anatomy. Michelle is highly skilled and completed many training courses in the injections of facial fillers, Botox, PRP, Sclerotherapy, Belkyra, and chemical peels. Michelle's main focus in facial aesthetics is "graceful ageing" by creating extremely natural and rejuvenated results at any given age. Michelle recently moved from Ontario to British Columbia where her family currently resides. Michelle enjoys hiking with her beloved Yorkie, Paddleboarding and cooking! Education Michelle Eaves RN BScN received her Nursing Degree in 2012 from Queen's University.

Natasha Wong

Registered Nurse Natasha was born & raised in Kelowna. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alberta & her Psychiatric Nursing from Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton, AB. She worked at the University of Alberta Hospital for several years in acute adult psychiatry. She also worked for several years in acute pediatric mental health. She moved back home to Kelowna permanently in 2020 where she works casually in Pediatric acute care & at a Primary Care Centre in the Okanagan. She completed extensive training in Aesthetics Nursing where her priority is addressing her client's skincare concerns & delivering anti-aging procedures including lasers, botox and filler treatments. She's always had a striving passion to work in Aesthetic Nursing & is extremely grateful to have joined the Okanagan Skincare team. On her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her sassy corgi, exploring the outdoors. Figure skating, hiking, fishing, camping, piano playing, rollerblading and spending time with her family are a few of her favorite hobbies in the Okanagan.

Taylor Hornby

Taylor was born and raised in the lower mainland, before moving to the Okanagan with her husband in 2019. In 2022, she decided to pursue a career in Medical Aesthetics and graduated from her program later that year. She worked as a Medical Aesthetician before joining the team at Okanagan Skin Care Centre, (soon to be Dermapure) Mission, as a Medical Office Assistant. She enjoys reading, baking, spending time with her friends and trying out local restaurants and wineries
