Aaron Hyatt

Aaron Hyatt joined the company in 2000 as a student intern. After graduating from Paul Smith's College with a degree in Urban Tree Management, he came on as a field crew member and worked his way up to the position of Crew Leader. Aaron is certified in First Aid and CPR, as well as the Game of Logging level one, and holds a Class A Commercial Driver's License. Aaron grew up in Morrisonville, New York, and in his free time enjoys canoeing, camping and fishing in the Adirondacks.

Hannah O'Connor

Hannah O'Connor first joined the company as an intern in 2008 while attending Paul Smith's College. She has worked on the tree and landscape crew, but she is currently our Plant Health Care Technician. Upon graduation she worked for the USDA APHIS program monitoring for the Emerald Ash Borer, until returning to Olympic Tree in 2009. Hannah is certified level one in the Game of Logging, holds a Maugett certification for systemic trunk injections, and is a NYS DEC Commercial Pesticide Technician. She holds a B.S. in Forestry, an A.A.S. in Urban Tree Management, and a GIS Certificate. In her free time, Hannah enjoys time with her family and friends, hunting, fishing, and is involved in several local sports leagues.

Jake Sprankle

Jake Sprankle joined the company in 2000 as a field crew member and worked his way up to the position of Crew Leader. His skills in tree care practices and equipment operation help make our jobs go smoothly. Jake is certified in First Aid and CPR, as well as the Game of Logging level one, and holds a Class A Commercial Driver's License. An Adirondack native, Jake likes to spend his free time with his wife and son, and enjoys snowmobiling whenever he gets the chance.

Jesse Sprankle

Jesse Sprankle is a native to the Adirondacks and joined the company full time in 1998, where he started out on the ground as a field crew member. He quickly worked his way up to climber, then crew leader, and finally General Manager. Jesse then became an I.S.A. Certified Arborist in 2008. He has over 10 years of "real world" experience in the tree care industry, gaining extensive experience practicing all aspects of modern arboriculture. Some of his duties as General Manager include safety training, crew relations, customer relations, sales, purchasing, scheduling, and over seeing all aspects of the daily operations. Jesse attended SUNY Canton as well as many educational seminars; he has a Class A Commercial Driver's License, completed the Game of Logging level 1 and is certified in CPR and First Aid. When Jesse is not working he enjoys spending his time with his family and friends at camp, hunting, fishing, hiking, and just about anything else you can do outdoors.

Kathleen Brannon

Kathleen Brannon joined the company in 1994 as a ground crew worker. She enjoyed many years working in the field apprenticing as an arborist and now holds the position of Business Manager. Kathleen's previous work experience includes physical therapy, retail sales, and river guiding (New York and Maine). Outside of work Kathleen enjoys time spent with her husband, three sons, family and friends. She can also be found working beautiful property, in the Southern Adirondacks, that has been in her family for six generations.

Stacie Thompson

Job Titles:
  • Office Manager
Stacie Thompson joined the company in 2007 as Office Manager. Along with many other tasks she performs around the office, she is the friendly voice you hear on the other end of the phone! Stacie grew up in Keene Valley and Tupper Lake. Prior to joining us, Stacie worked for a number of years as the bookkeeper of a computer technology company in the West Palm Beach, Florida area. When not at work, Stacie spends time with her son, friends and family enjoying the outdoors whenever possible.
