The Oceanic team is active in the Wrightsville Beach Chamber of Commerce. The restaurant also sponsors & supports many of the events held on the island, which has become a world-class destination for Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Surfing, Triathlons and Fat Tire Bike competitions... In 1990, the Oceanic opened near where Lumina, a popular entertainment center in the early 1900's, once stood. Oceanic was named after a popular hotel destroyed in the Great Fire of Wrightsville Beach in 1934... Our culinary philosophy relates directly to our surroundings. We are passionate about sourcing local seafood whenever possible. Tuna, little neck clams, oysters, flounder and Mahi Mahi are just a sampling of what the Crystal Coast waters provide for our Chef. We also rely on a multitude of North Carolina farmers for our produce, poultry & pork.
