Carroll Thompson

Carroll has over 40 years of experience in the Oil & Gas Industry. He has focused much of his career in OCTG pipe inspection and associated materials handling equipment. Carroll is very much a "hands on" individual, and many days you will find him working on his latest development with his team at his side.

Ed Galle

As one of OPT's founders, Ed has been with OPT for over 23 years. He is currently one of three Principals and is on OPT's Board of Directors. Ed also is OPT's IT manager. Ed has over 37 years of engineering experience in the offshore oil and gas industry and worked for several major OEM equipment suppliers before OPT.

Gary Galle

Gary is responsible for the introduction of new products into new markets for OPT. He is currently leading several significant new product developments and process improvements for OPT. He joined OPT in 2011. Gary has nearly 30 years of engineering and leadership experience in the petroleum and aerospace industries. Prior to OPT, Gary gained extensive experience building successful global engineering and research teams to achieve technical, commercial, and strategic goals. He has experience in both organic and inorganic growth initiatives. Throughout his career, Gary has combined his technical skills with his organizational skills to create very effective organizations and processes. He grew an engineering team from 5 engineers to 75 in less than 1 year, allowing the business to grow to well over $500M in sales. Gary was responsible for creating, building, and leading four research and development facilities in four countries (Scotland, US, Brazil, and Poland). He received the 1998 ASME Herbert Allen Award in Petroleum Mechanical Engineering, has lead two product developments that have been awarded the OTC Special Meritorious Award, authored or coauthored 7 major technical papers (one of which is in the ASME Journal), received two Eugene W. Jacobson awards (for best all around technical paper), has over a dozen US and foreign patents, and is a Six Sigma certified Brown Belt. Gary received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. He is also a graduate of Rice University's Business Management Program. In his spare time Gary builds and flies 33% scale acrobatic radio controlled airplanes, enjoys hunting with his two sons, and boating with his wife and family on Lake Travis in Austin.

Kevin Gendron

As one of OPT's founders, Kevin has been with OPT for over 23 years. He is currently one of three Principals, on OPT's Board of Directors, and OPT's chief financial officer. Kevin has played management roles in the offshore oil and gas industry for over 30 years. His expertise includes strategic planning, business development, manufacturing, project management, and finance. As OPT's commercial manager, Kevin negotiated successful joint ventures, customer teaming agreements, and key vendor relationships. He has also managed most of OPT's key projects. Kevin started out his career in the oilfield as a project engineer. His Titanium Stress Joint design was on the cover of Cameron's 1987 Annual Report. He was named Winner of the 1989 Special Meritorious Award for Engineering Innovation by Petrolem Engineer International for a Free Standing Production Riser System while at Cameron. He served as Chairman of ASME's Petroleum Subsection 1988-1989. He has presented technical papers at World Materials Congress, SPE Drilling Symposium, and Deep Oil Technology. Kevin graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University in 1981 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Kevin enjoys spending time with his high-school sweetheart and wife Trish, as well as his family and dogs. He enjoys gardening and spending time outdoors.

Paul Berner

Paul is one of OPT's founders, and has been with OPT for over 23 years. He is currently one of three Principals and is on OPT's Board of Directors. Paul works on riser tensioner systems, special projects, and offshore operations.
