Opopharma AG, started out as an exclusive distributor in Switzerland for the Dutch firm, Organon. These women were Swiss pioneers in the field of the pharmaceutical distribution. Over the years Opopharma AG acquired, founded and again sold a considerable number of companies. After the death of the two founders the OPO Foundation was created and subsequently OpoPharma Vertriebs AG was established as the extrapolation of the pharmaceutical core business of Opopharma AG. The OPO Foundation and Opopharma AG are no longer involved in any pharmaceutical business.
