The association was founded and promoted by a group of eminent freedom fighters, social reformers and activists with the ideology of promoting volunteerism, grassroot voluntary action and people-centred development with the twin concept of 'Development through Participation' and 'Development through Sustainability'. OSVSWA, as a change agent and in the social change process, has been consistently working since its inception with strict adherence to the principle and ideologies as thrust upon by the founders by initiating voluntary and social action based on Gandhian Philosophy of community development...
