I joined NSW Health Pathology in August 2020. Prior to this role, I was the Organisational Performance and Leadership Practice Leader at the Nous Group since 2010, supporting executives, managers and employees through complex and challenging business and cultural change. I was really attracted to the vision and culture of NSW Health Pathology, and that this role allows me to work with, and support, all the dedicated and talented people across pathology, particularly at this important time during the COVID-19 pandemic. I love being able to work across strategic, operational and tactical initiatives, and that I can continue my passion and commitment to developing the culture and capability of the health workforce into the future, to ultimately improve people's lives.

Dr Legg is a health informatician who first trained as a scientist and researcher in physiology and pathology. He has been a successful leader in the Australian health sector for more than 25 years with CEO roles in small, medium and large not-for-profit and for-profit organisations. Dr Legg is the Chair of the Informatics Advisory Committee of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and Member of the Academic Board for Bioinformatics of the European Association for Predictive, Preventive and Personalised Medicine.

Dr Nigel Lyons

Dr Nigel Lyons has over 30 years' experience in the NSW Health system as a clinician, manager and executive. As Deputy Secretary, Health System Strategy and Planning at the NSW Ministry of Health he is responsible for strategic health policy development, inter-jurisdictional negotiations and funding strategies, system-wide planning of health services including mental health and setting the direction for child and family health policy.

I have been in this role since 2017. Prior to this I was the Locum Network Director for the (then) Pathology West division of NSW Health Pathology. I was attracted to the role as it allowed me to use my skills and experience in new and different ways to support NSW Health Pathology in its provision of state wide services. I love being able to assist all portfolios within NSW Health Pathology and be able to provide clinical, pathology and pathologist advice to developments and services.

I started with NSW Health Pathology in March 2020. Previously, I was the Director of Transformation at Transport for NSW, leading organisational transformation. I have 20 years' health experience as a clinician, healthcare consultant and health manager. I'm absolutely thrilled to be working at NSW Health Pathology with such a great team doing such exciting work. This role appealed to me because of the diversity, and the opportunity to drive transformational change across pathology. My passion is leading improvement of our health services for our patients, communities and staff. I have led large scale change across healthcare sector in both government and private organisation in Australia, the Middle East and South East Asia. Professor Nicholas Hawkins is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia with specialist qualifications in Anatomical Pathology. He is currently a conjoint professor in the School of Medical Sciences at UNSW Sydney, and leads the Biomedical Education Skills and Training (BEST) Network of online biomedical educators. He was Director of the Office of Medical Education at the University of Queensland from 2016-2019, and before that served as Head of the School of Medical Sciences at UNSW Australia (2008-15). He has a track record of innovation in teaching and in the field of research, Nick has brought his training in molecular and cellular biology, and his professional expertise in Anatomical Pathology and to the problem of colorectal cancer, with over one hundred publications in the fields of gastroenterology, pathology and cancer research.
