Alyssa Lopez

I grew up in Euless, Texas. I played college soccer and went to nursing school at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. I started my nursing career in the Neonatal ICU. I have been with Pediatric Associates of Dallas for over a year and in this current role since April. I enjoy cooking/baking, playing soccer, and spending time with my fiancé and dogs.

Amy Hayes

Dr. Hayes grew up in Shiner, Texas and attended college at Texas A&M University. She graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Biomedical Science. Upon completion of medical school, Dr. Hayes completed a pediatric residency through UT Southwestern. Dr. Hayes is married and has two children. She is active with Scouts BSA and with her church. She loves being outdoors and has completed several half-marathons. She also loves hiking, camping and climbing "fourteeners!"

Andrea Gulley

Andrea received her undergraduate education at Vanderbilt University and remained in Nashville to complete her Master's in Pediatric Nursing at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Since then she has worked in a variety of settings including ER, private practice, and urgent care, but primary care is where her true passion lies. She loves establishing relationships with families and caring for children throughout their childhood. She has been happily serving PAD families since 2017. Andrea was born and raised in Plano, TX. After graduating nursing school she did a brief stint in New York City, which she loved, but is glad to be back in the great state of Texas. She loves to travel, try new restaurants, cook, run, bike, play tennis, cheer for the Cowboys, and spend time with her friends, family, and her dog, Lenny. She and her husband, Jay, welcomed a baby girl, Collins, in 2022.

Angela Escuadra - COO

Angela grew up in East Texas and started working for PAD in 2002 as a front office receptionist. She has served many roles here over the years and currently is our Operations Manager. This basically means if anyone needs something done, they come to Angela! Angela is married with two beautiful children. In her free time she enjoys watching movies and playing video games.

Arthi Krishnan

Dr. Krishnan graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Chemical Engineering. She attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. She completed her pediatric internship at the Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters in Norfolk, VA and finished her pediatric residency at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. She then completed a one year college health fellowship at the University of Virginia Student Health Center. Dr. Krishnan has been practicing pediatrics since 2009 in different clinical settings including private practice, urgent care, and college health. Dr. Krishnan is married and has a son and daughter. She enjoys running, reading, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

Bess Weeks

Bess was born and raised in Abbeville, Alabama. She graduated from Auburn University (War Eagle!) with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and a Doctor of Audiology degree. Bess has been a pediatric audiologist for over ten years working in a variety of pediatric settings including Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Fulton County Schools, and several pediatric ENT practices. She believes the early identification and intervention of children with hearing impairment is imperative for positive outcomes. She has lived in Dallas for five years with her husband and three lively children. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, and reading.

Brent Burton - COO

Job Titles:
  • Chief Operating Officer
Brent is from Dallas and graduated from Baylor University with a degree in accounting. Brent is a CPA and has over 20 years of experience directly managing and consulting Pediatric practices and other medical specialties in the Dallas area. Brent lives in Dallas with his wife and two children and he enjoys traveling with this family and playing golf.

Charles S. Dunlap

Dr. Charles Dunlap joined PAD in 2004 after practicing pediatrics in Albuquerque, New Mexico for eight years. He grew up in Dallas and attended Lake Highlands High School and loves living in DFW. He has a beautiful wife, Susan, of 27 years, and two awesome children, Caroline, 20 and Christopher, 18. In his spare time he enjoys travel, sports, film, classic rock, church and mission work, and eating things he's not supposed to. He has 2 large rescued dogs and sometimes will get out of his chair and walk them. Fun fact: Dr. Dunlap was a PAD patient as a child!

Christina Bourland

Dr. Bourland grew up in Huntsville, Alabama and graduated from the University of the South with a degree in American Studies. She received her MD from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Children's Medical Center of Dallas in 2006. Prior to joining PAD, she practiced for 8 years as a pediatric hospitalist at Children's Medical Center. She is passionate about promoting the health of individuals and the health of our collective community. Dr. Bourland is married to a wonderful guy and has two spunky daughters and one loving son who are all growing up much too quickly. When she isn't trying to keep up with her three children, she enjoys gardening, needlepoint, reading and volunteering locally.

Christopher K. Dreiling

Dr. Dreiling sought out a liberal arts education as an undergraduate, as he knew he would be focusing on science in medical school. Within the Plan II major at UT-Austin, he had study concentrations in biomedical ethics and film history. Dr. Dreiling decided on pediatrics as his field during his third year medical school rotation and has not regretted it for a single moment. Dr. Dreiling has been blessed with two healthy and engaging teens who keep him quite busy. Outside of the office, he continues to study film and music and enjoys traveling. He has played piano since he was six years old, and always tries to find time to practice!

Courtney Lofgren

Courtney earned her Bachelors and Masters of Nursing from Texas Women's University. She worked at Medical City Children's Hospital in medical and surgical pediatrics for 6 years before starting at PAD. Courtney has a passion for primary care and loves building relationships with her patients and watching them go through each stage of childhood. Courtney was born and raised in the Dallas area. She loves Spending time with her husband, their son Walker, and two golden retrievers.

Early B. Denison - CEO

Dr. Denison graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in genetics. He received his MD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed his pediatric internship and residency at Children's Medical Center. He has a Masters in Business Administration with a healthcare focus. Dr. Denison currently sits on the PAD Board of Directors. Dr Denison is married and has two daughters and a son. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, traveling, reading and playing the guitar.

Elaine Brown

Elaine completed her undergraduate education at Abilene Christian University where she studied biology and kinesiology before attending PA school at UT Southwestern. She was drawn to pediatrics while in PA school and has practiced in pediatric emergency medicine, urgent care and cardiology. She has a passion for adolescents and enjoys helping them find their voice as they start to take ownership of their own health and future. Passionate about education, she frequently lectures to PA students on various pediatric and mental health topics affecting today's youth. Outside of work Elaine is an avid cyclist and enjoys playing piano, crocheting, and spending time with her cocker spaniel Emmy.

Emily Miller

Emily Miller first attended the University of Southern Mississippi to obtain her bachelors degree in nursing. She then continued her education at Vanderbilt University and obtained her masters degree and certification to become a pediatric nurse practitioner. Before joining PAD, Emily worked at a busy pediatric primary care clinic in Charlotte, NC. She currently works PRN for Moms Choice Mobile Healthcare here in Dallas as well. Emily is a current member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. Emily currently lives in Allen, TX with her husband Luke and their 2 dogs (JB and Maggie) and 2 cats (Kitty Meow and Finn). In her free time she enjoys staying active through weight training/bodybuilding, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

John R. Foster

Dr. Foster enjoys golf, gardening and time with his family. He is married with two children.

Karen B. McClard

Dr. McClard graduated from Baylor University as a member of the University Scholars program. She received her medical degree from U.T. Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. After completing her residency at Children's Medical Center of Dallas, she stayed an additional year at CMC as Pediatric Chief Resident. Dr. McClard currently sits on the PAD Board of Directors. Dr. McClard has a beautiful blended family with five (you read that right, FIVE!) teenagers, two dogs, and a few chickens. She finds it impossible to separate the doctor part of her brain from the mom part of her brain, which is why she believes in practical advice that parents will actually follow. If she gets any spare time, there is a chance that she forgot to pick up a kid or drop off a birthday gift or schedule an appointment for someone. She loves coffee like it is oxygen.

Katherine Haucke

Katherine completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN and spent the majority of her training in Primary Care and the Specialty Clinics at Children's Health Dallas. After completing her training, Katherine worked at Children's Health Dallas for seven years in various departments including PreSurgical Assessment, Cardiac Anesthesiology, Adolescent Medicine, and helped to found the Complex Care Medical Services Program, where she also served as a primary care provider for medically complex children. Looking to start a family and focus more on outpatient pediatric primary care, Katherine happily moved to PAD in 2016. Katherine has a passion for teaching new parents about newborn care, and caring for children with developmental delay and autism spectrum disorders. Katherine lives in Dallas with her husband Hayden and their son Harrison, and are looking forward to the arrival of their second child in 2018. Katherine enjoys cooking and traveling with her family and being outdoors together.

Kathryn Wray

Dr. Wray grew up with four younger siblings in Flower Mound, Texas. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with degrees in Spanish and zoology. She received her MD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed her pediatrics residency at UCLA. Dr. Wray loves being active. Her favorite pastimes are running and yoga. She also enjoys listening to Audible books and Netflix in Spanish.

Kathy Philp

Kathy is a seasoned professional with 25+ years of experience in healthcare. She is able to quickly identify areas of opportunity and collaborate with key stakeholders to implement process improvements. Prior to PAD, Kathy served in Revenue Cycle Management roles at Conservative Care Occupational Health, Premier Family Physicians (presently Millenium Physician Group), USMD - Urology and General Surgery (Regional Clinical Operation Manager), Curo/Kindred (Hospice Group), where she optimized their revenue cycles utilizing various EMR systems including: Athena health, Allscripts, Nextgen, E-clinical, Epic Resolute and private software's. Kathy has worked as a clinical nurse for 8 years in different specialties; Pediatric, Internal Medicine, Plastic Surgery, and Pulmonology Group. Co-owned and operated a Medical Billing/Transcription/Consulting service from 1992 to 2008. She is a Certified Professional Coder and member of AAPC from 2000- present. She has served as VP and President for local OKCMGMA. She has a comprehensive knowledge of medical coding, medical terminology and billing with use of CPT and ICD-10 codes and modifiers. Kathy is very knowledgeable of HIPAA use and requirements and thrives in both independent and collaborative work environments. She is dedicated, innovative and self-motivated team player/builder.

Kiley Marsh

Kiley completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR. She later completed her graduate studies at Texas Woman's University in Dallas, TX. She spent a majority of her training in Pediatric Primary Care as well as in specialty clinics at Children's Health in Dallas and Plano, as well as Medical City Children's. Before joining PAD she worked at a busy pediatric clinic in Grand Prairie, and later moved closer to home to a practice located in Rockwall, TX. Kiley is passionate about being a resource to both patient and family and taking a more holistic approach to healthcare. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going on long walks, trying new restaurants, and serving at her local church.

Lauren Gore

Dr. Gore is a Texas native who grew up in Richardson, graduating from LV Berkner High School. She went on to receive a BS in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University in 2000, followed by her MD from the University of Texas at Houston in 2004. She did her residency, followed by a chief residency year, at Children's Medical Center in Dallas from 2004-2008. She practiced at UTSW/Children's for seven years before joining PAD in February 2015. During that time she worked in a busy outpatient clinic teaching medical students and residents both the skills and the art of Pediatrics. In her free time she enjoys keeping up with her young son, finding new recipes for dinner club, going to the family lake house on Cedar Creek, gardening in her backyard, and trading books with friends.

Mackenzie Cheek

Mackenzie is the PAD Dallas front office manager and has been with the company for 6 years. She has an amazing husband who is supportive of her dreams & goals. She has two beautiful bonus children whom she adores. Her family spends time playing sand volleyball all over the Metroplex. Her other hobbies include traveling, hiking, cooking, & riding side by sides with friends. Her goal is to empower and coach her employees to be the best versions of themselves while conveying PAD's mission & vision.

Maribel Diaz-Esquivel

Dr. Diaz-Esquivel graduated from Plan II at the University of Texas at Austin with a Liberal Arts Degree. She attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She completed her internship and residency at Children's Hospital at OU Medical Center. Dr. Diaz currently sits on the PAD Board of Directors. Dr. Diaz-Esquivel grew up in Texas, but is originally from Spain. She enjoys traveling to Spain to visit family. In her free time, she likes Pilates, movies, and good food with family and friends.

Melissa Waters

Dr. Waters received a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Hardin-Simmons University and is a graduate of The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. After completing her residency training at Children's Medical Center in Dallas, she practiced pediatrics in Flower Mound, Texas for 4 years. In 2012 she joined Pediatric Associates of Dallas. Dr. Waters lives in Dallas with her husband, Matt, daughter, Mallory, and beagle, Pepper. She enjoys traveling all over the world, reading a good book, watching live music, and running for a good cause.

Michael E. Brown

Dr. Brown did his undergraduate work at Washington University in St. Louis and attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville. He completed his pediatric residency at University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and served as chief resident in his final year. Dr Brown recently stepped down from his role as Associate Director of the Children's Health Cystic Fibrosis Center. He continues to devote himself full time to the practice of pediatrics at PAD. Outside of the office, Dr. Brown is happily married with 3 grown children and 4 precious grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with his family, attending sporting events, movies, theater and traveling. He continues to do his best to stay in shape by swimming and practicing yoga.

Nicole Koenen

Nicole is a graduate of Simmons University in Boston, MA, where she double majored in Nursing and Philosophy. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at Austin. She worked as a pediatric medical-surgical nurse at Stanford Children's Hospital and at St. David's Children's Hospital, before working as a pediatric nurse practitioner in Chicago at a primary care office. Back in Texas, she hopes to help PAD patients develop lifelong healthy habits, by providing education about healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention. She is an avid marathoner, and in her free time, can be found along the trails of Dallas, training for her next race. She volunteers as a coach for Girls on the Run, as she is extremely passionate about helping girls grow into joyful, healthy, and confident young women. She and her husband also love reading, cooking, hiking, traveling, and exploring new places together.

Rhiannon Simes

Rhiannon earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University and her Masters of Nursing from Duke University. She started her career in Charlotte, NC, and then worked in the Neuro- trauma ICU at Children's when her husband's career brought them to Dallas. Her love for primary care brought her to PAD, where she is passionate about empowering and educating families so that they feel confident taking care of their children. After spending most of her childhood in Ohio, Rhiannon now calls Dallas home. In her free time, she loves traveling with her husband Trevor and sweet little pup Bentley. She also enjoys running, hiking, crossfit, and anything outside.

Sara Muller

Sara was born and raised in Plano, Texas. She grew up speaking Arabic at home and visiting family overseas every summer. She still lives in Plano, now with her husband Bradley and their fur baby Willow. Sara started working at PAD as a receptionist in 2019 and has worked her way up to Front Office Supervisor.

Victoria Denton

Victoria joined PAD as the HR Manager and is excited to bring the culture of PAD into the employee experience. She grew up in Flower Mound, Texas and attended/graduated from Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes). She enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. Her other hobbies include traveling, working out (catch her on the Peloton leaderboard), watching sports, and spending time with friends.
