Dexter Fry

Dexter joined the team at Parker & Associates in 2019 after completing his LLB/BCom at Victoria University of Wellington in 2018. Originally from the Hawke's Bay, Dexter moved to Wellington in 2014 for university and while studying, Dexter gained valuable work experience in an in-house legal team and as a university tutor. Dexter has gained experience in a wide range of areas of litigation, including construction, leaky homes, class actions, insurance, trust/estate disputes and a private prosecution under the Health and Safety at Work Act. Dexter has appeared as junior counsel in the High Court in a 17-week trial, a trust matter and has also appeared in the Court of Appeal. Away from work, Dexter is a keen runner and sports fan with a particular interest in cricket, rugby and basketball.

Dimitri Viatos

Dimitri joined Parker & Associates in 2019, having completed a LLB/BA at Victoria University of Wellington. Dimitri worked in commercial property management throughout his studies, predominately in office and retail space. He was the recipient of the Victoria Employment Law scholarship. Dimitri has gained litigation experience across a range of matters including contract and construction disputes, leaky homes, class actions and bankruptcies. He has appeared as junior counsel in the High Court as well as undertaken cases in the Building Disputes Tribunal and resolutions through mediation. An avid football fan, Dimitri can be found most weekends playing on one of Wellington's many windswept parks. He is a passionate supporter of the Wellington Phoenix FC and hasn't missed a game since 2009.

Izzy Krebs

Izzy joined Parker & Associates in 2022 after completing her LLB/ BA at Victoria University in late 2021. Throughout her studies, Izzy gained experience working in the public sector, as well as legal research and understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi through her work with South Island Iwi group, Wakatá¿¡ and was a volunteer at the Workers' Rights Service. Outside the office, Izzy likes to keep active and can be found at Wellington's local hotspots or spending time away with friends and family.

James Wollerman

Job Titles:

James specialises in a wide range of commercial claims, with a focus on construction, insurance and property litigation and dispute resolution. He has extensive experience acting for both plaintiff and defendant parties in leaky building and construction litigation involving claims in contract, negligence, and breach of statutory duties. This includes acting for large Body Corporates and representative plaintiffs in class action litigation. He acts for clients in a range of property related matters, including residential sale and purchase disputes. He has acted for clients in complex commercial disputes for breach of contract in relation to the manufacture and supply of products and services. James' insurance experience covers fire and general, public liability, product liability and professional indemnity disputes. James is a regular participant at mediation and has appeared in the District and High Courts, Court of Appeal and specialist tribunals. He provides clear and efficient advice and enjoys assisting his clients to achieve successful outcomes to their disputes. James joined the partnership in September 2018.

Lina Worthing

Job Titles:

Lina joined Parker & Associates in 2021 after six years of practising litigation at Inland Revenue and Crown Law and two years of general practice in Dunedin. Lina's broad litigation experience has seen her appearing at all levels of Court from the Taxation Review Authority to the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. She has worked on tax cases involving complex structured financial arrangements and trusts. She also brings experience in areas of judicial review, immigration, employment and contract law.

Sam Smith

Sam hails from Invercargill, and completed his LLB from the University of Otago and his BA from Victoria University of Wellington. Before joining Parker and Associates in 2021, Sam was involved in student advocacy, both locally and nationally, and brings with him immigration and refugee law, and government legal experience.

Sophie Barnao

Sophie joined the team at Parker & Associates in 2021 after completing her LLB at the University of Otago in late 2020. Throughout her studies, Sophie gained experience as a university tutor and was actively involved in Community Law Otago. Outside of the office, Sophie enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Most weekends she can be found exploring local walks, markets and cafes in Wellington.

Stuart Dalzell

Stuart Dalzell is a Partner in the firm and has over 20 years' experience in commercial litigation and dispute resolution matters. Stuart's practice is very broad but his focus is on commercial law, product liability/class actions and employment law. Stuart prides himself on developing a high performance culture within his team with an emphasis on client service and practical commercial resolutions. While Stuart has appeared as counsel at most levels of the Court system, often his skills are called upon by clients wishing to avoid or minimise their court exposure. In those cases, it is Stuart's strategic advice that facilitates the client's ability to negotiate a well leveraged deal from what could otherwise be a costly and lengthy dispute. Stuart has a BA/LLB(Hons) from Auckland University and worked at a major national firm for 10 years before joining Parker & Associates, becoming a partner in 2014.
