Amber Campbell

Amber Campbell, originally from Morton, MS, joined the Pine Belt family July of 2021. Amber knew her career path when she started work at a veterinary clinic in 2010 and eventually expanded her knowledge as she attended Mississippi State University. A graduate of 2018 from the Veterinary Medical Technology Program with a Bachelor's degree in Science, she is now a Certified Veterinary Technologist. She is married to a large animal veterinarian at Pine Belt Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Stephen Campbell. Dr. Campbell and her reside in Hattiesburg, MS, and attend Temple Baptist Church.

Dr. Jennifer Sellers

Dr. Jennifer Sellers is a native of Picayune, MS. She attended Mississippi State University, where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Animal/Dairy Science in 2004 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. Upon graduation, she began working at Pine Belt Veterinary Hospital and Kennel. Dr. Sellers primarily practices small animal medicine and has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and internal medicine. She also enjoys equine medicine. She divides her time between Pine Belt Veterinary Hospital and her farm in Purvis, MS where she has beef cattle, horses, three cats, two rabbits, two dogs, and a goat. She is married to Jed Sellers, and they have two daughters. She attends Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Lumberton. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, fishing, and horseback riding.

Dr. Kale Hatten

Dr. Kale Hatten is one of our large animal veterinarians here at Pine Belt Veterinary Hospital and Kennel. He graduated from Mississippi State University May of 2015 and began his Veterinary career at Pine Belt Veterinary Hospital June of 2015. Dr. Hatten has a passion for reproductive medicine such as In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and embryo transfer in cattle and Artificial Insemination (AI) in cattle, dogs, and horses. He also has special interests in bovine and herd health, swine medicine and small animal orthopedics. When Dr. Hatten is not working at Pine Belt, he enjoys playing with his children, Hallie and Archie, spending time his wife, Regan, contributing to his family's commercial cow-calf operation, and being active at Temple Baptist Church.

Dr. Lowell Rogers

Dr. Lowell Rogers and Karen Rogers Drs. Lowell and Dr. Karen Rogers established Pine Belt Veterinary Hospital and Kennel in 1983. Dr. Lowell is a 1981 graduate of Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981, and Dr. Karen followed in 1983. In 1996, Drs. Karen and Lowell Rogers were named Alumni Fellows for the College of Veterinary Medicine by the Mississippi State University Alumni Association, and they were named Young Veterinary Practitioners of the Year by the Mississippi Veterinary Medical Association in the 1980's. In 1996, Dr. Lowell Rogers was appointed to serve a 5-year term on the Mississippi State Board of Veterinary Medicine by Governor Kirk Fordice. His interests in veterinary medicine are very diverse and include beef cattle medicine, small ruminant medicine, equine reproduction, and small animal orthopedics and ultrasound. He is a fifth-generation livestock producer and maintains a herd of Gelbvieh cows. He is an active member of the American Gelbvieh Association (AGA), and is currently serving on the AGA Executive Board. He is a past president of the Mississippi Gelbvieh Association. Dr. Karen Rogers has a special touch for felines and has raised and shown purebred cats in the Cat Fancier's Association (CFA) and The International Cat Association (TICA) as a hobby. Her Havana Browns have won many prestigious titles and have been featured in numerous publications. She has also served on the CFA Breed Council for Havana Browns.

Dr. Mary Hannah Lawrence

Dr. Mary Hannah Lawrence is a native of Hattiesburg, MS. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Biology at William Carey University in 2017 and completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Mississippi State University in 2021. Shortly after graduation, she began working as a Veterinarian at Pine Belt Veterinary Hospital and Kennel. Dr. Lawrence's veterinary interests include companion animal orthopedics, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, ultrasound, exotics, and equine reproduction. In her free time, she enjoys taking care of her own animals including three horses (Chip, Angel, Socks), two rescue dogs (Ophelia and Rio), and cat (Delphi). Her hobbies include trail riding, camping, traveling, and spending time with family. She is married to Josiah Lawrence and they have one son, Judah. They attend First Baptist Church of Petal and reside in Hattiesburg, MS.

Dr. Stephen Campbell

Dr. Campbell is a graduate of Simpson Academy and obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University in 2018. Upon graduation, he worked at a clinic in Pike County and in February 2021 joined the Pine Belt family. Dr. Campbell enjoys all aspects of large animal medicine and also companion animal reproduction. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors and spending time with family. He and his wife reside in Hattiesburg and attend Temple Baptist Church.

Heidi Miller

Heidi Miller was born and raised in Starkville, MS where she later attended Mississippi State University. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree Fall 2020 in Wildlife Biology, Ecology, and Management. Heidi moved to Hattiesburg shortly after graduation and joined the Pine Belt family December of 2020. She is currently enrolled at San Juan College in the Veterinary Technology Program to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. She has three dogs (Fawn, Zeppelin and Nelly) and a guinea pig (Peanut).

Jessy Daniels

Jessy Daniels, originally from Southaven, MS moved to Hattiesburg, MS in 2015 along with her husband and son. She worked at Forrest General Hospital as a Emergency Technician and Patient Accountant Assistant for 4 years. Knowing her calling was in animal medical care, Jessy began work at Pine Belt Veterinary Hospital August of 2020. She is the proud mom of not only her son, but a dog named Cayde and 3 cats named Tuna, Cup and Shaker.

Karlee Mitchell

Karlee Mitchell grew up in Seminary, MS. She was part of the Pine Belt family, took some time off and joined us again in 2023. Karlee loves spending time with her family, especially her husband, Aaron and her daughter, Lillee. She has 2 dogs, Hopper and Indi and a Guinea pig named Sugar. Karlee enjoys working at Pine Belt because she loves meeting new animals and caring for them as her own.

Laura Lucas

  • Lead Veterinary Technician from Seminary
Laura Lucas is our Lead Veterinary Technician from Seminary, MS. She was born in Flowood, MS, but primarily grew up in Madison, MS. Laura attended Hinds Community Colleges Veterinary Technician program directly after high school. She is currently enrolled in Penn Foster to complete her certification. Laura knew from a young age that she wanted to be in the veterinary field. She joined the Pine Belt Family May 2015 after moving from Brandon, MS. Laura has 5 dogs (Theodore Riley, Titan, Maizey Kate, Zouri, and Smiley), 4 cats (Bunnie, Meow, Tiny, and Wallace), and 1 horse (Max). She is married to her high school sweetheart, Jake Lucas. In her spare time, Laura enjoys spending time on the river with friends and family, traveling (especially to Branson, MO), and spending time with her fur children.

Megan Dyer

Megan Dyer was born and raised in Manheim, Pennsylvania. Back home she grew up on her family's dairy farm. You could always find her in the barn helping her dad milk or helping her mom with vet work. Before moving she milked on a 600 head dairy farm for 6 years. In June 2021, she moved to Mississippi after she married her husband, Brandon Dyer. After the move, Megan became a resin and clay artist where she started her own business, Tipsy Tiara. In her free time, she enjoys crafting, line dancing with friends, kayaking and spending time with family. She has a horse named Pistol, a Corgi named Millie, and a step-daughter named Millie Kate. How funny is that ?!

Ronald "RJ" Palmer

Ronald "RJ" Palmer was born and raised in Hattiesburg, MS. He attended The University of Southern Mississippi where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences in 2019. As a large animal technician, RJ's responsibilities include maintaining a clean environment within the barn and assisting the large animal veterinarians with their procedures, the former in which he especially takes great pride. He and his wife, Emily, live in Hattiesburg and are proud parents of three cats.

Sydney Brown

Sydney Brown was born and raised in Seminary, MS and began working at Pine Belt Veterinary Hospital and Kennel June of 2016 while she was attending Seminary High School. She later attended Jones County Junior College (Jones College) as a Pre-Veterinary student and then transferred to William Carey University to earn a Bachelor of Science.
