Lauren Klaffky is a Senior Associate at Performance Fact Inc. She has spent more than two decades in public education supporting K-12 schools focused on increasing opportunities and outcomes for all children, particularly those who have been educationally underserved. Prior to joining Performance Fact, Inc. she served as the Chief Academic Officer of Lighthouse Community Public Schools and Leadership Public Schools in the San Francisco Bay Area. During her tenure, she led the development and alignment of curriculum and assessment systems, facilitated the design and implementation of MTSS programs, all leading to an increase in student achievement and college-going rates. Prior to entering education administration, Lauren served as the teacher training coordinator for the University of California Puente Project. She taught English Language Arts and ELD in Northern New Mexico and the Bay Area. Lauren was a 2007 New Leaders for New Schools Fellow. She earned her MA in Education in 2003 from the University of California Berkeley. She earned her BA in English from Reed College in 1999. She lives in Alameda with her partner, two young children and dog.

Mutiu Fagbayi has extensive background facilitating and coaching educational leaders and their teams at the national, state, and local levels. His areas of focus include strategic planning and school improvement; creating and sustaining high-performing learning organizations; implementing accountability systems; developing leadership at all levels; and building trust. His areas of focus include strategic planning and school improvement; creating and sustaining high-performing learning organizations; implementing accountability systems; developing leadership at all levels; and building trust. Since 1992, Mutiu has worked with educational leaders at the school, district and state levels across the U.S.A. Prior to creating Performance Fact, Inc. in 1997, Mutiu worked for Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, New York for 14 years as a research scientist and in several management positions at Kodak headquarters. Upon leaving Kodak, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of the National Center on Education and the Economy (NCEE), based in Washington, DC, from 1992-1995. Mutiu is a member of the Oxford International Roundtable on International Education Policy based at Oxford University in England. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering.
