Plan International was founded in 1937 by British journalist John Langdon-Davies and refugee worker Eric Muggeridge, originally to provide food, accommodation and education to refugee children whose lives had been orphaned or displaced by the Spanish Civil War... We provide emergency response and long-term community development programs around the world, partnering with local leaders and community members to see change for the whole community... Working alongside communities globally, we deliver emergency response and long-term development programs to see girls valued and empowered, so that future generations inherit a brighter, more equitable future.
