PET is the material of choice for packing of consumer products. The basic product is the preform (by injection of PET Pellets), which users turn into bottles (by mold-blowing). Petco s.a.l. produces both preform and bottles. PET packaging is popular in food and non-food applications because it is inexpensive, lightweight, shatter-resistant and recyclable... Petco s.a.l. was founded in Beirut, Lebanon in 1996. Petco s.a.l. was successful in introducing PET plastic products, virtually unheard of at the time in Lebanon and the region, and gave the beverage, water and edible oil manufacturers a more efficient container for their goods.
