POBAL

Pobal operates on the basis of a Framework Agreement with the Department of Rural and Community Development (lead department), and programme-specific Service Level Agreements with individual departments. Each year a Programme of Work is agreed with each Government Department for any work that Pobal is requested to undertake. Our management of work undertaken by government is subject to the controls identified in the Code of Practice for State Bodies. The Comptroller and Auditor General audits our financial statements on an annual basis... Pobal provides management and support services to 41 programmes for several Government Departments, the EU and other bodies... Pobal works on an all-island basis, with offices in Dublin, Monaghan, Sligo, Clifden, Letterkenny, Cork, Galway city, Limerick, Mullingar and Kilkenny.
