Aachen Town Hall

Aachen Town Hall comprises elements built in different centuries. The Granus Tower dates back to the times of Charlemagne. The people of Aachen built the Gothic Town Hall on the foundations of the Carolingian palace building. The building used to host the banquets of the royal coronations. Today, the coronation hall pays homage to these times, by displaying replicas of the imperial jewels, such as the imperial crown, the sword and the gospel book of medieval rulers.

Berliner Dom

Berliner Dom Cathedral is the largest church in Berlin and, each year, attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world. It was built between 1894 and 1905 according to plans by Julius Raschdorff. It formerly served as the main church of the Prussian Protestants, as well as the court church of the Hohenzollerns. Brandenburg Gate

The Brandenburg Gate is a popular destination for tourists as well as an important part of Berlin's history. The Brandenburg Gate, whose name originated from Friedrich Wilhelm II, the then King of Prussia, was built as a symbol of freedom and peace. Today, the Brandenburg Gate is a symbol of the fall of the Iron Curtain, which divided Berlin, as well as the reunification of Germany after 1989. The Brandenburg Gate, with its 200-year history, is the most well-known Berlin landmark. The former border between East and West Berlin is today a symbol of the reunification of Germany and the fall of the Berlin Wall. The Brandenburg Gate is centrally located between the Reichstag, Potsdamer Platz Square and the shopping street, Unter den Linden.

Bremer Roland

The stone Roland statue was also declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site together with the town hall. It's a symbol of freedom, so you can find this type of statue in many European squares. Bremen's Roland statue was built in 1404. It is the oldest and highest with a height of 5.5 metres. It symbolises the companion of Emperor Charlemagne and signifies how the emperor founded the city and gave it features such as market rights. To this day, the Roland statue symbolises the independence of the Free Hanseatic City.

Potsdamer Platz in Berlin is one of the busiest places in all of Germany and has the space to go along with it - here you'll find numerous entertainment options spread across approximately 68,000 m².
