The Prairie State Energy Campus is setting a new standard for clean coal production. Our state-of-the-art energy campus uses modern technology to produce cleaner, baseload electricity for our member communities. That's because we're owned by non-profit municipal utilities and electric cooperatives, so our mission isn't to serve shareholders-it's to create a sustainable, secure energy future for the millions of families we serve... What does the future of sustainable baseload energy look like? We think the answer is the Prairie State Energy Campus. That's because we're the brainchild of nine non-profit public power utilities committed to providing clean, reliable, and affordable energy for their members. Together, they created an energy campus that uses domestic resources and clean energy technology to produce more power, and less waste.
