Catherine G. Brame

Ms. Brame joined the firm in 1991 and is a director with the firm. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Brame earned her Paralegal Certification from Tulane University. After several years as a litigation paralegal, she entered law school and has been in practice since 1988. Education B.S from Louisiana State University in 1978; Paralegal Certification from Tulane University in 1982; and a Juris Doctorate from Loyola University in New Orleans in 1988. Ms. Brame has a general legal practice. Since 1994, Ms. Brame has been managing the section of the law firm which provides legal services to members of LegalShieldSM and includes overseeing a number of staff and attorneys. The legal issues addressed by the LegalShieldSM section of the law firm include a variety ranging from succession issues to personal injury to defense matters. LegalShieldSM has been in business since 1972 and provides access to legal services to members across the United States and Canada. Ms. Brame holds an AVĀ® Peer Review Rated certification from Martindale-Hubbell. Ms. Brame has been a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association since 1988. She is a member of the Alexandria Bar Association and was the first woman elected to serve as President of the Association in 1995. She served on the Executive Committee from 1992-1997, and was Secretary/Treasurer from 1993-94 and Vice President from 1994-95. Ms. Brame served on the Hearing Committee for the Louisiana State Disciplinary Board from 1995-2001, including service as Chair from 1996-2000. From 1996-97, she served on the Louisiana Certified Paralegal Certifying Board. Ms. Brame is a Fellow in the Louisiana Bar Foundation and a member of the American Inns of Court of Alexandria-Pineville.

David T. Marler

Mr. Marler has been with the firm since 2009 and works, primarily, in the LegalShieldSM Department of the firm. Previously, he was in solo practice with experience in the areas of contract formation, negotiation and dispute, construction law, successions, estate planning issues, and landlord lease formation. Mr. Lambert is an associate of the firm and has been with Provosty, Sadler & deLaunay, APC since 2000. He has more than 15 years experience in general civil law. Eli J. Meaux

Eli J. Meaux joined the Provosty firm as an associate in 2013. He has a general civil litigation practice focusing on issues of municipal defense and commercial liability. He also has experience in secured transactions litigation, creditor liability defense and collections. Education Mr. Meaux graduated with a B.A. in History from Louisiana State University in 2008 and received his Juris Doctorate from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 2011, graduating Order of the Coif, magna cum laude. Mr. Meaux was a Member of the Louisiana Law Review during his time at the Louisiana State University Paul M. Mr. Alexius is a director and corporate secretary of the firm. He joined the Provosty firm in 1978 after eight years of practice in New Orleans. Mr. Calvit is a director of the firm and has been with Provosty, Sadler & deLaunay since 1987. He has more than 20 years of experience in litigation in the areas of insurance defense, including products liability and automobile negligence claims. Mr. Calvit's area of practice also includes suits against political subdivisions and, more particularly, law enforcement officials. Mr. Calvit has defended claims against sheriffs, deputies, police officers and other officials in state and federal court. Mr. Calvit also advises private prison management companies in various matters and handles all litigation arising from the operation of the prisons. Mr. Calvit has been a member, since 1987, of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Alexandria Bar Association. He has been a member of the Crossroads American Inn of Court of Alexandria-Pineville since its founding and presently serves on the Executive Committee. He is admitted to practice before all of the Federal Courts of Louisiana, including the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Mr. Calvit is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Calvit has been an instructor and lecturer at the Alexandria Police Regional Training Academy since the early 1990s and at the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office Corrections Academy since it began operations in 1999. In addition, Mr. Calvit was a speaker at the Fifth International Breachers Symposium and has been a lecturer for C.L.E. programs.

Mr. Sadler holds a B.S. from Louisiana State University in 1969; a Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University School of Law in 1972 and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation from Georgetown University in 1974. Mr. Sadler has been a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association since 1972. He is a member of the Sub-Committee on Trusts of the Louisiana Law Institute, and has served on that committee for almost 30 years. He is a past member of the Taxation Specialization Board of the Louisiana Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before all of the Federal Courts of Louisiana, including the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Bailey is president and a director of the firm. He has been with the firm since 1989.
