Bio Prior to working with us, Anne worked as the Billing Coordinator for a large family practice office for well over 30 years. As Accounts Coordinator, Anne manages all insurance claims and payments as well as client questions in relation to their claims or balances. Outside of work, Anne enjoys spending time camping and ORV trail riding along with spending time with family and friends.

Carol McPherson

Bio Carol graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch, in Galveston Texas in 1991 with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing. She is a licensed registered nurse. She worked at the Midland County Department of Public Health from 1993 to 2007. She worked at Dow Chemical from 2007 to 2016 as an occupational health nurse. At our clinic, Carol assists our Eating Disorder Treatment Specialist by monitoring vitals of clients with eating disorders. She implements and supervises quality control procedures for the clinic. Carol has advanced training in Motivational Interviewing. She became a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers in November 2018 and trains advanced graduate students and clinicians. Outside of work Carol enjoys being with her family and friends, pottery, and getting beat at tennis.

Deanna Scott-Hicks

Deanna is a licensed counselor and a certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor. Previous to working at Partners in Change, Deanna worked with the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe's Behavioral Health Program. She treats children, adolescents, couples and adults for a variety of concerns including trauma, depression, grief, substance use disorders, and anxiety disorders.

Diane L. Bedford

Diane is a licensed counselor and a certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor. Prior to working at Partners in Change, Diane worked as a Juvenile Probation Officer in her native town, Alpena, for seven years after earning her Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice in 1994 from Lake Superior State University. She worked as the Addiction and Recovery Services Coordinator and an outpatient counselor at Family and Children's Services for the past 11 years. She also worked as a counselor for the TenSixteen Recovery Network, and Easter Seals in Pontiac with their specialized unit Collaborative Solutions working with those involved with the legal system and addiction. Diane specializes in individual, family, and addiction therapy. She has many years of experience working with adults and adolescents facing addiction, anxiety, grief, depression, and other concerns.

Kaycee Biggs

Bio Kaycee earned an Associates of Science from Delta College in 2012. She graduated in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Central Michigan University. Kaycee plans to pursue a Master's Degree in Psychology. Compassion and dedication are two of her most closely held values and this is reflected in her work. As Systems Coordinator, she ensures that the systems to maintain clinic functioning and to support our employees and our clients are efficient and effective. Kaycee has volunteered for Big Brother, Big Sisters, the CAN Counsel, and Shelterhouse in the past and will continue to work with these organizations in the future. She enjoys traveling around Michigan and being with her daughter and their dog.

Tom is a licensed clinical psychologist and co-owner of Partners in Change along with his wife, Dr. Ann Date. Tom has consulted to Michigan Department of Corrections, mental health agencies, and schools. He is adjunct faculty at Central Michigan University and Michigan State University. He has written treatment protocols that have been used in state prisons, trained clinicians statewide, and evaluated treatment and education programs for substance abusing adult offenders. He collaborates with court systems in the treatment of adjudicated adolescents and their families. He conducts competency to stand trial for juvenile offenders. He trains, mentors, and supervises clinicians, CMU clinical psychology doctoral students, and MSU medical students.
