Alan is a qualified CPA with more than 5 years of audit experience. Joining us in August 2022, Alan has hands-on knowledge of accounting standards and financial statements, with past work experience in some of the biggest auditing firms.
Christin is our Office Manager and ensures the day-to-day smooth running of the office.
She has more than 10 years of experience in professional offices as a Secretary, Executive Assistant, Administrator and Office Manager.
Christin provides support to our Financial planners by making sure client files are kept up to date ahead of regular progress meetings, completing new account opening paperwork, and also helping to deal with ad-hoc client requests.
She also plays a vital role in liaising with the institutions with which our client portfolios are managed to keep everything running smoothly and efficiently.
George is responsible for the Marketing and Business Development of Private Capital. Having completed four practising HKSI exams, he gained his SFC Licence in December 2023. He will look to complete CISI level 4 exams to gain his UK qualifications.
Beginning his career as a summer intern in 2018, George completed various months of internships in Hong Kong in different industries before commencing the role he currently occupies in April 2021.
George helps the advisers with back-of-the-office work, including cashflows, generating reports, and overseeing the efficient use of client communication.

Mathew joined Private Capital in 2012, specialising in investments and holistic financial planning for British expats in Hong Kong and the UK.
With close to two decades of investment and asset management experience, Mathew's career began in London in 2002 with boutique hedge fund De Putron Fund Management. He then joined AllianceBernstein, a top tier global asset manager, in 2005.
Mathew is a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment and holds the highly acclaimed Chartered Wealth Manager qualification (Level 7), along with the Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice and Management (Level 6), the UK benchmark entry-level Investment Advice Diploma (Level 4) and Investment Management Certificate (IMC) qualifications.
He is also a member of the Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute and is a Responsible Officer (CE Ref. BLN469) for our Type 4 and 9 Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) licenses.
A Derby County fan, Mathew loves playing and watching football, as well as sailing, tennis, scuba diving, golf, backgammon and cookery.

Phil has worked as a Financial Planner for 25 years. His career began at NatWest and RBS before he moved to live and work in Hong Kong for Private Capital. After 16 years offshore, Phil is now based in the UK since moving back in 2017 to set up Private Capital (UK) Ltd.
Phil's area of expertise is evidence-based investing and goal-based financial planning. He does extensive work with expats who are returning to the UK. Phil is a Responsible Officer (Ce Ref. AGO028) for our Type 4 and 9 Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) licenses, and FCA CF30 Approved in the UK (Ref. PXS10197) for Private Capital (UK) Ltd.
The long-term relationships Phil forms with his clients and their families are his favourite part of his role; some date back more than 20 years. He enjoys talking to people about their lives and helping them plan to meet their goals.
Rick is the Managing Director of Private Capital and a Responsible Officer (CE Ref. ACP711) for our Type 4 and Type 9 Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) licences.
From 1998 to 2019, Rick was Chief Executive of the Group Medical Insurance and Protection Planning arm of Private Capital, regulated by the Hong Kong Confederation of Insurance Brokers.
Now with 30 years' experience in financial services, Rick loves what he does; he finds great satisfaction in seeing the team happy and working hard together to improve client outcomes.
Rick's interests are politics, football, cricket and rugby. He enjoys walking every weekend and watching documentaries about history and current affairs.
