PRIME PRODUCTS

Prime Products, Inc. was founded in 1975 by Jim Herrmann Sr. and Ralph Quist. They opened a small shop on Roger B. Chafee Blvd in Wyoming, MI and began supplying painted mechanical avionics components to Jet Electronics. The company soon added rotary screen printing capabilities and began producing thousands of counter wheels for various aerospace customers. More space was needed to accommodate the growth, and in 1978 the company moved into a newly constructed 7,500 square foot facility on Remico St in Wyoming, MI. Jim Herrmann Sr. became the majority shareholder in 1981 and sold the business to his long-time General Manager, Jim McKenzie Sr., in 1988. Jim's son JJ McKenzie (James Jr.) was hired in 2004 and has held the role of President since 2007...
