Brian Carothers - CIO, CTO

Brian Carothers, a graduate of the Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science, joined Proforma in 2015 to lead and manage Proforma's technology advancements and the development of a new order entry system. Brian oversees Proforma's IT department and manages all development, analysis and project management resources. Brian has more than 25 years of experience managing, designing and implementing custom IT applications. Prior to joining Proforma, he worked on dozens of projects with a wide variety of sizes and scopes for clients that ranged from middle market corporations to the Fortune 50. He spent 12 years with Amentra and subsequently Red Hat, the world's leading open source software development company. Brian also served as the CTO for ARMS Software, the country's leading provider of software for college athletic departments.

Doug Kordel - Chief Legal Officer, President

Doug Kordel, a graduate of The University of Dayton School of Law, joined Proforma in 2003 and leads the development of Proforma's leadership and management teams, addresses high level operational issues and spearheads the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes. Doug also directs all aspects of Proforma's legal affairs and ensures protection of its legal rights. His expertise includes franchise law, corporate and transactional law, employment law, and dispute resolution. In 2013, Doug was named the winner of Crain's Cleveland Business magazine's General & In-House Counsel Summit Award. Prior to joining Proforma, Doug served as both in-house and outside legal counsel. He also holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Toledo, majoring in Information Systems and Operations Management.

Gregory P. Muzzillo - Founder

Greg Muzzillo founded Proforma in 1978, one year after graduating from college. He started the company's franchising operations in 1986. Today, Proforma has more than 650 franchise offices worldwide with $500 million in sales. The company has been named to Inc. magazine's list of the 500 Fastest Growing Private Companies in America three times. Prior to founding Proforma, Mr. Muzzillo worked with the auditing firm of Haskins & Sells (predecessor to Deloitte & Touche). In addition to his duties at Proforma, Mr. Muzzillo has founded a staffing franchise company, ProTalent. He serves on the Board of Directors of the University of Florida Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center, served on the Board of Directors of the International Franchise Association and served on the Board of Trustees at the University of Tampa. Greg and his wife, Vera Muzzillo, CEO of Proforma, have 10 children and three grandchildren. Together, they serve on the Board of Directors of the University of Florida Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center and co-sponsor the $50,000 annual Big Idea Gator Business Plan Competition. Gregory P. Muzzillo founded Proforma in 1978 with a college friend. Within one year, the business they started with $200 grew to $250,000 and its client base to more than 300. By 1982, sales reached $1 million and Proforma was named in successive years to Inc. Magazine's 500 Fastest Growing Companies - the only company in the business forms industry named to the list twice. To continue Proforma's rapid growth, Muzzillo developed the Proforma franchise model in 1986 - a network of independent distributors working together to build marketing clout and strong supplier relationships. This model proved successful, as Proforma, now in its fourth decade, has grown to a $500 million organization.

Stan Maxwell - Chief Strategy Officer

Stan Maxwell is the Chief Strategy Officer for Proforma. He works closely with Proforma's Technology Team to drive the ongoing development of the company's $10 million proprietary technology platform, lead the management of external development partners and identify internal process optimization to ensure integrity of the production and release schedule. Stan has twenty-five years of executive leadership within operations, technology,process improvement and sales management. Prior to joining Proforma, Stan served as the SVP of Global Sourcing for Catalina Marketing after holding multiple positions including SVP of Global Operations and SVP of Retail Network Services. Stan was responsible for developing and implementing new industry technologies, leading global sourcing, strategic negotiation and partner management. Before Catalina, Stan was the VP of Sales at NCR Corporation where he managed various sales teams responsible for more than $50 million in revenue. Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and Business Administration from University of Alabama with a focus in Marketing and Management.

Vera Muzzillo - CEO

Vera Muzzillo, CEO of Proforma, joined the company in 2000 and is focused on maximizing strategic development opportunities and providing comprehensive oversight to the banking, cash management, credit, financial, operations and technology aspects of the company. Previously with Comerica Bank and as an independent business consultant, Vera brings over 15 years of commercial and investment banking as well as business consulting, lending and credit experience to Proforma.
