Esa Kerttula was born in Kemi, Finland, 21st August, 1948. He has doctor degree in telecommunications engineering from Helsinki University of Technology in 1988. Currently Dr. Kerttula is leading his telecommunications consulting company, Prof-Tel Oy Ltd. He was also a professor (part-time) in Lappeenranta University of Technology during 1989-2012. Dr. Kerttula has studied in Stanford Business School in 1989 (SEP´89). Dr. Esa Kerttula has been with Finnish PTT from 1973 to 1991 in several development and leading positions within data communications and telematics services. In 1990 he was rewarded with the national technology promotion award for the development of Telesampo, the Finnish public value-added network preceding Internet Web. In 2000-2001 Dr. Esa Kerttula was Vice President with Sonera SmartTrust in Germany leading the development of New PKI Businesses. See more details in CV (short, long).
