Dr. Nancy Kunkel

Dr. Nancy Kunkel was educated at Mundelein College of Loyola University in Chicago and the Chicago School of Professional Psychology where she received her doctorate in clinical psychology. Dr. Kunkel's primary treatment modalities include brief, solution focused, and cognitive-behavioral approaches. She has specialized in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and families for decades. She takes an active, practical, goal-oriented, skill-building approach to working with children and their parents. Consults with parents, school personnel, and other caregivers are done regularly to aid in the development of more productive "lifestyle" habits, coping skills and routines. Dr. Kunkel has lectured extensively on issues such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety disorders in children and adolescents, and Asperger's Disorder. Dr. Kunkel additionally focuses on women's issues. Her primary concentrations include relationships, stress, anxiety, depression, abuse, eating disorders and post-partum issues. Dr. Kunkel is an active member in her faith community and is the mother of three children.

Dr. Patricia H. DeWitt

Dr. Patricia DeWitt graduated Phi Beta Kappa, with high distinction from Indiana University. She went on to obtain her Master's Degree and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Purdue University. She has been in Private Practice in the Barrington Area for over 40 years. Dr. Pat is an expert on dealing with grief and loss. Whether someone has experienced a death of a loved one or they are dealing with an aging parent she has the experience, compassion and insight to be of help.

Dr. Timothy J. Hull

Dr. Tim Hull completed his Ph.D. in psychology at Northwestern University and joined the Psych One group in 1986. Prior to being in full-time private practice, Dr. Hull taught Advanced Placement Psychology and Literature at Barrington High School. While on the faculty of the high school, he also was a consultant to the staff dealing with a variety of psychological issues. In his clinical practice, he works with children, adolescents and adults, plus he has specialized in EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) treatment. This treatment is especially effective in treating anxiety disorders (panic attacks, phobias, and post-traumatic stress), in addition to performance and self-esteem enhancement. Dr. Hull also works with a variety of childhood developmental issues, including: Attention Deficit Disorder Oppositional/Defiant Disorder Separation Anxiety Disorder Academic Underachievement He works with the parents to identify family and school dynamics that may play a part in the child's struggle to be successful and happy. He also consults with teachers as part of a wholistic approach to behavioral and emotional problems. A member of the Barrington community since 1975 and a teacher and a psychologist, Dr. Hull is professionally and personally involved in creating a stable and supportive community for our children. He was been a member of the Barrington School District Board of Education from 2007-2013 where he brought his teaching and clinical experience to bear to help guide our school community. Dr. Hull is a father of three sons and two delightful grand-daughters.
