Babak Emadi

Babak contributes to the Providence Commercial team over 20 years of real estate related experience. He joined Providence Commercial in 2010 after spending 15 years at Urbana, a design and architecture firm, where he was a founding principal. Since joining Providence, Babak has focused his brokerage on land and property sales representing both buyers and sellers. He has extensive experience helping his clients with site feasibility analysis, highest and best use studies, planning and rezoning, and conducting due diligence. Since moving to Charlotte in 1984, Babak has been involved in the Elizabeth and NoDa neighborhood home and business associations, various non-profit organizations, and city stakeholder volunteer groups. Babak is a graduate of College of Architecture, University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is a licensed real estate broker in North Carolina and South Carolina and is a member of the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors.

Chris Wannamaker

Chris joined Providence in 2000 and became a Principal of the firm in 2006. Chris focuses his practice on sales acquisitions and dispositions, tenant representation, and project leasing. Before joining Providence, Chris spent 11 years with Continental General Tire as a Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager. He is involved in the community and is an active member of his Rotary Club. He has served on the City of Charlotte's Brownfield Site Selection Committee and the boards of the McColl School of Business Alumni Association, Friends of Fourth Ward and FreeMoreWest Partners. Chris has a mechanical engineering degree from Duke University, an MBA from the McColl School of Business, and a Masters in Urban Studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Chris is licensed in North and South Carolina, is a member of the Charlotte Region of Commercial Board Of Realtors, and has his CCIM designation.

Rob Grier

Rob joined Providence in 2019. He focuses his practice on sales acquisitions and dispositions of multi-family properties and timber/sportsman properties in the Carolinas. Prior to joining Providence, Rob was a partner in Next Stratum, a leadership development consulting company, primarily coaching with clients on effectiveness, achievement, and accountability. Before that, Rob spent six years as a financial adviser working with business owners managing financial assets while maximizing tax advantages. Rob has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from The Citadel. He is active in the community and has served as vice-chair of The Parkinson's Association of the Carolinas, chair of the Child Development Center of First Presbyterian Church of Charlotte, and is a past officer and deacon of First Presbyterian Church of Charlotte. Rob is married and can be found most weekends and evenings on the soccer fields with his two daughters.
