Working with his grandfather, who also did striping, Wayne worked on his first striping job when he was 10 years old and from that moment, he knew what he wanted to do. When Wayne was 15 years old he applied for a job with another company doing sealcoating and striping, however the owner said he had to be 16 years of age to be employed with them, so instead of going out on the actual jobs, he rode around with the boss and got familiar with looking at work and learning how to estimate.
