The Portland Water District (PWD) is a century-old company, rich in history and experience. PWD is an independent quasi-municipality, serving over 200,000 people - 56,000 customers - in 11 Greater Portland communities. We deliver water service to Falmouth, Raymond, Scarborough, South Portland, Standish, and Windham, and provide both water and wastewater service to Cape Elizabeth, Cumberland, Gorham, and Portland, Westbrook... The Portland Water District supplies water to 16% of Maine's population. Greater Portland's public water meets or surpasses all state and federal standards for safety. Failing to meet standards is not an option.
