Alison Sherry

Alison has skills in the field of general management, strategic human resource management, organisational change consulting, workforce capacity management and recruitment acquired over 20 years. In 2021, Alison was recognised in Queen's Birthday Honours List, awarded a Medal in the General Division (OAM) for service to the community through a range of organisations including her work on the board of RSPCA Qld, Women's mentoring, Indigenous training & employment outcomes. Prior to joining Ranbury, Alison was National HR Director at Currie & Brown. In this role she delivered a major initiative to implement human resource best practice to a "Greenfield" practice whilst continuing to manage several onsite teams in major Coal Seam Gas (CSG) and mining clients across Queensland, including Santos, QGC/BG, Origin, Hancock Coal, ExxonMobil, BP and Caltex. Following the acquisition of Currie & Brown by AMEC Plc, Alison completed the strategic overview of all human resource and health safety, security and environment frameworks to meet the global regulatory and legal requirements. This included implementation of the global AMEC HR Framework. Appointed by Ergon Energy to manage the Attraction and Retention portfolio, Alison led the delivery of the Employer Re-branding and Employee Value Proposition project, the Engagement Survey rollout, Workforce planning 5-year review and centralisation of the recruitment function. Alison's career in human resources commenced in the Australian Government. She moved into the private sector in 2002, and was appointed General Manager of Hamilton James & Bruce's Queensland business in 2006. Alison was approached by Ergon Energy in 2011 following her roles in Currie & Brown and AMEC. Alison joined Ranbury in 2014 as General Manager People Operations. Reporting to the Managing Director and Board she provides strategic direction for the people function and for growth enablers within the business. She has responsibility for the People and Culture (HR), HSEQ, Accounting, Marketing and Proposals, Social Media and Admin teams. Alison is a graduate of the Queensland University of Technology and University of Queensland.

Bapi Bhattacharjee

Bapi has extensive experience across a range of sectors including education, health, justice and emergency services, and airport infrastructure. He has recently delivered several successful building projects for Queensland Health across a number of Hospitals and Health Services. Bapi understands the importance of focused and managed interface risk management between construction and operational zones. He has recently completed projects at Redlands Hospital, Sarina Hospital, Queensland Institute of Medical Research, the University of Queensland, and Southern Cross University. His clients will attest to the fact that Bapi consistently delivers over a project's lifecycle, from business case development through the design and procurement phases into delivery. His diligent design briefing and considered consultation with key stakeholders makes him adept in planning and coordinating design packages from concept to detailed design. His experience of the Department of Health requirements and expectations allows for proactive planning and execution of project delivery in this highly specialised discipline. Bapi also has extensive experience in delivering project programmes, particularly those in live environments such as Queensland Health facilities in Aurukun and Ingham and Brisbane Airport Domestic and International Terminals. Bapi has a Bachelor of Engineering (Medical) (Honours) and is a Certified Practicing Project Manager.

Brett Magnussen - Managing Director

Brett has 25 years' experience delivering projects in the property, building and construction industry in Australia and Asia, with a particular focus on community and social infrastructure projects specialising in health care and education. Brett's Project Director roles include leadership of the development of the business case to relocate Queensland Rail's head office. Broad consultation resulted in an expanded project brief, ultimately delivering the Bowen Hills precinct master plan which was incorporated into the State Government's Development Scheme. While working for the Queensland Government, Brett led the delivery of agency capital works programs including the Department of Education and Training and the Department of Emergency Services. This included his role as Program Director for the Preparatory Year of Schooling program, which delivered new facilities at 470 public schools across Queensland. As Project Manager, Brett delivered a range of community facilities including the 500-bed Maryborough Correctional Centre, the Moore Park State School (the first public sector comparator for future schools' PPP delivery), and a number of primary and community health centres across Cape York and the Torres Strait. As Contracts Advisor for building contractor PT PP (Persero) in Indonesia, Brett was part of the leadership team on a number of internationally funded projects including the World Trade Centre 2 commercial office tower in Jakarta and the Pejaten Shopping Mall in South Jakarta. Brett has led Ranbury's growth into hospital redevelopment projects, including delivering a number of major projects across Queensland in Caloundra, Nambour, Mackay, Rockhampton and Cairns. Brett started out as a Quantity Surveyor. He went on to manage Department of Public Works' offices around Queensland before joining Persero in Indonesia. He then returned to Brisbane and the Department of Public Works in 1997. Brett joined Ranbury in 2005 and was appointed Managing Director of Ranbury in 2013. Brett is a graduate of the Queensland University of Technology.

David was appointed to Company Secretary in 2002. Prior to joining Ranbury David was employed in a stockbroking firm and an accountant in private practice both as an employee and principal (carrying out auditing, insolvency, general financial business advice and taxation services). He also served in management roles in public listed companies, including management of public capital raising, reporting to the ASX and responsibility for company secretarial duties. Midterm in his career he was also responsible for financial management of a national wholesaler. David is a graduate of the Western Australian Institute of Technology (now Curtin University) and is a Certified Practising Accountant and Registered Taxation Agent.

Ed Brown

Ed Brown is a Civil Engineer with more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry where he has worked on multi-disciplinary major infrastructure projects ranging in value from $500,000 up to $700M plus. Ed is an accomplished construction management specialist, with a natural ability to coordinate projects, manage, and deliver projects. Ed has extensive operational project management and delivery expertise on significant critical assets and infrastructure within NSW. Projects include major arterial road and intersection works for the M7 Westlink construction, the New England Highway at Beresfield, Sapphire to Woolgoolga, Gerringong upgrade - Princes Highway upgrade and airside pavement and civil works at Sydney Airport. In addition to the Transport sector, Ed was also the Project Manager for the Harry Seidler design Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre at Ultimo. Ed joined in 2015, and has been involved in constructability, and staging for Logan Enhancement Project (LEP), Melbourne Airport's Runway Development Project, Gold Coast Light Rail Stage 3, and cost estimation works for F6 Extension Stage 1. Before his current role, Ed had an impressive career at Fulton Hogan where he delivered many significant projects. Ed's project portfolio includes experience in all facets of project life from concept to completion in infrastructure projects across transport, utilities, education, sports and community, water, and communications sectors. He has extensive experience in civil, structural, and services disciplines. This expertise, together with his strong leadership and management skills and excellent communication skills, ensure productive client relations and stakeholder engagement. As a student engineer, Ed worked on the Sydney Harbour Tunnel, and after completing his Degree in 1994, commenced works as a Site Engineer for Belmadar Constructions. During his decade with Belmadar (later acquired by Fulton Hogan in 2005) and additional 10yrs with Fulton Hogan, Ed successfully delivered various infrastructure projects in the roads, rail, water, and buildings sectors. Ed holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from the University of Technology, Sydney. He is MIEAust and a Member ACES.

Gareth Owen

Gareth has over 30 years' commercial experience delivering projects across the infrastructure, oil & gas and building sectors in Australia, the UK and Asia. He has a particular focus on rail infrastructure projects specialising in both heavy freight rail, light rail and commuter rail systems. Gareth's Project Director roles include leadership of quantity surveying and estimating teams in the delivery of major business cases for the likes of ARTC's Melbourne to Brisbane Inland Rail project, the Sydney Rail Futures program of projects, signalling and communications systems on the Regional Rail project in Melbourne and the initial business case estimates for the Moreton Bay Rail Link and Gold Coast Rapid Transit in South East Queensland. While working in Australia, Gareth has performed the Independent Estimator role on many of the Alliances undertaken in Queensland including the TrackStar Alliance, the Horizon Alliance and the TrackPower Alliance on behalf of Queensland Rail. Gareth has also been the Project Director responsible for commercial teams seconded into the Santos GLNG and QCLNG project teams. Gareth led his previous company's growth into the rail sector across Australia working on projects in Brisbane, Melbourne, New South Wales and Adelaide. He has a specific ability within the rail systems sectors including signalling, overhead wire systems, power systems and track. Prior to moving to Australia, Gareth commenced his Quantity Surveyor career in the UK with another global consultancy organisation, Franklin + Andrews (F+A). Joining F+A after completion of his degree course, Gareth had the opportunity to live and work in the UK and Asia where he gained experience of managing teams within the UK, and across various Asian countries, for a broad spectrum of clients and sectors. Gareth is a graduate of Leeds Metropolitan University.

Gavin Edwards

Gavin is a Senior Executive with 25 years' experience developing and delivering high-risk, high-value projects for clients across the public and private sectors. With experience leading teams of direct and indirect staff, Gavin provides specialist program and project management, bid management, design development and coordination, financial control, constructability review, project governance, risk management, commercial management, contract management and stakeholder management advisory and services. He has a wealth of experience and lessons learned gained over many years working on both the purchaser and supplier sides of delivery. Gavin's experience spans Transport (multi-modal), Infrastructure, Water, Rail, Healthcare, Petrochemical, and Utilities sectors. He is familiar with a wide range of project management frameworks, tools and techniques and has experience with all current contracting mechanisms including Public Private Partnership (PPP), EPC, BOOT, Alliance, Managing Contractor, Joint Venture, Design and Construct (D&C), and Construct only. Hadyn Douglas

Hadyn is a skilled project manager who has considerable experience in successfully delivering complex and major projects. His background includes working for companies such as the New South Wales State Govt, Caltex, TasNetworks and TAFE New South Wales. Hadyn has successfully delivered technically challenging construction projects. Many of his projects had complex pre-existing site conditions which required navigation. His roles have covered the full spectrum of project management responsibilities from concept through to completion. He is exceptionally strong in cost control, programme and stakeholder management. He prides himself on problem solving and in adopting a collaborative approach. Above all, Hadyn is a project leader, providing clients with a safe pair of hands for their projects. His general working philosophy is to appreciate the intricacies of any and every project, and enjoy in the relationships created by working with people to deliver them. Having joined Ranbury in June 2021, Hadyn is based in our Sydney office and is tasked with leading and delivering property projects within the built environment.

Jason Simes

Jason is a senior property executive with consultative expertise across multiple real estate asset classes, providing development management, investment management, and strategic asset planning services across numerous portfolios, ensuring key indicator out performance. Jason's experience has included delivering the Grand Central expansion project in Toowoomba which was valued at $525m, as well as the Hyperdome's Market Room fresh food precinct in Logan which was valued at $17m. He also has worked on numerous other high value retail and mixed-use projects around Australia, from master planning and feasibility stages through to final delivery. Jason joined Ranbury in February 2018 and is responsible for the delivery of property strategy and development management services to clients. Before starting with Ranbury, Jason had an 18 year career with leading institutional fund manager, QIC Global Real Estate, holding roles in Property Management, Leasing, Development Management, and Investment Management. Jason's earlier career included Property Management roles with LJ Hooker and Knight Frank Price Waterhouse. Jason holds a Bachelor of Business in Property Valuation and Administration (with distinction), through the University of Queensland. He has also completed a Graduate Certificate in Shopping Centre Management from the Property Council of Australia, and is a current sitting member of the Retail Committee of the Property Council of Australia.

Lisa Roberts

Lisa is a commercially-focused Data Business Analyst with experience working for large companies in the mining, oil and gas and power generation industries. In addition to her business analyst roles, Lisa has also practices as a CPA-qualified chartered accountant. This combination of skills and experience equips Lisa with a unique skill set that enables her to visualise data powerfully and analyse it critically, allowing her to implement meaningful process changes that create real value. Lisa joined Ranbury in December 2019 and has already created powerful project management dashboards for the Queensland Department of Education and for Ipswich City Council. In 2021, Lisa was promoted to the role of Business Operations Manager. Prior to joining Ranbury, Lisa worked in analyst positions - as a BI / CRM Analyst at Downer, and as a Functional Cost Analyst at Origin Energy. She also spent time as a fly-in fly-out site-based Project Accountant for Thiess's work in the Surat basin on the QCLNG Project. Lisa is a Certified Practicing Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from the University of the Sunshine Coast. She is currently undertaking a Master's in Data Science from James Cook University.

Paul has more than 30 years' experience in the fields of estimation, procurement and project delivery in the mining and infrastructure industries in Australia and overseas. Paul's leadership capability has been developed throughout the management/ supervision of estimating and procurement teams who have prepared feasibility estimates and EPCM estimates for a large number of major mining projects (both greenfield and brownfield) throughout Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Chile and Mongolia, and the General Management of a small boutique EPCM contractor for a number of years. Paul has had a long relationship with Project Support where before he joined the Company he worked with Project Support as a specialist sub-consultant alliance partner for some eleven years. During this period Paul provided mining, electrical and mechanical estimating and procurement support for a large number of major projects throughout Australia, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and Africa. Over the past 20 years Paul has facilitated or assisted in the tendering, evaluation and award of over seventy Mining Services Contracts and provided estimating support for a number of feasibility studies. These projects include underground nickel, gold, copper and poly-metal mines, desalination plants, materials handling infrastructure, coal preparation plants, copper, gold and nickel processing plants and port infrastructure. Passionate for his chosen field, Paul has developed strong, optimised procurement processes and implemented tailored contracting principles that "bestfit" a project's requirements - in particular Contract Hard Rock Underground Mining applications.

Peter Driml

Peter Driml has more than 35 years' experience in the construction industry working on major multidisciplinary infrastructure projects ranging in value up to $10B. His proficiency in managing estimating teams has been forged working as Senior and Chief Estimator with construction companies during a 20 year career before establishing Project Support. In late 2018 Project Support joined the Ranbury Management Group as part of a merger, where Peter is now Principal of Ranbury's Cost Engineering business unit responsible for the provision of services to our rail, road, airport, port and civil engineering clients. Peter has provided advice on over 2,000 infrastructure and mining projects including roads, airports, ports, water infrastructure and major dams. Peter has been Independent Estimator on over 150 Alliances and can bring strong estimating and negotiating skills to any project. Peter provides ongoing specialist independent costing and delivery advice, including commercial negotiations, for major and complex infrastructure projects. He is adept at reviewing contracts, estimates and projects to evaluate potential issues, risks, cost to complete, along with other project and commercial advice. Peter specialises in risk management and can provide the necessary risk frameworks and modelling for any project. Peter holds a Bachelor of Engineer (Civil), and is a member of MIEAust CPEng NER RPEQ AICD

Reagan Paine

Reagan has demonstrated ability leading project stakeholders, design teams and project site teams across a broad range of construction industries including health services, education, defence, civil, retail, commercial, residential and marine. During his career he has undertaken numerous management roles including, regional bid and design manager, client-side project manager, project engineer, services coordination manager and handover and commissioning manager to name a few. Reagan has managed and delivered client-side documentation encapsulating delivery strategy, tendering and evaluation, documentation assessment and project contract administration from contract execution to project handover across many projects. He has also gained valuable experience managing projects for some of the largest Tier 1 contractors in Australia including Thiess, Lang O'Rourke, Abigroup and Lend Lease. Reagan joined Ranbury in 2014 and is based permanently in Townsville. During this time, he has successfully managed projects including Queensland Sugar Limited (QSL)'s Bulk Sugar Terminal Upgrades, the Cairns Hospital Redevelopment, the new Burdell State School (Townsville) and the Bowen and Proserpine Hospital Redevelopments. Ross Hunter

Ross has more than 40 years' experience in the rail industry, covering construction delivery, project management, capital program management and transport planning. He has held Project Manager and Project Director roles in both rail infrastructure and rollingstock projects, covering major new railway construction projects, new freight terminals and workshops, upgrades to existing infrastructure and the acquisition of locomotives, wagons and passenger vehicles. At Queensland Rail, Ross led delivery of major capital works programs including two new major passenger railways - the 46km Beenleigh-Gold Coast and 10km Thorneside-Cleveland projects. In addition, he was responsible for major capacity upgrades within the Brisbane metro network and the Brisbane-Cairns and Townsville-Mount Isa regional freight lines. Ross led the North Coast Line Mainline Upgrade Project, which replaced almost 800 rail bridges, strengthened a further 120 bridges, constructed 120km of new straightened track on deviations and strengthened the balance of the 1680km Brisbane-Cairns route. Ross was also responsible for the acquisition of new rollingstock, including separate contracts for 50 new diesel locomotives, 22 electric locomotives, over 50 three car electric multiple units, four tilt trains, and over 2,500 coal, bulk minerals and container wagons. Procurement strategies included a range of outsourcing and insourcing, from construct only to design and construct, partnering and alliancing. Since joining Ranbury, Ross has been appointed in senior advisory roles including 3 years' secondment into Department of Transport and Main Roads advising on rail and port activities for the Queensland resources sector. Ross also co-developed the rail strategy for Connecting SEQ 2031, the South East Queensland (SEQ) integrated regional transport plan in 2011. He has been Project Director on a number of major rail corridor studies in Queensland including the Southern Freight Rail Corridor and Bundaberg Port Rail Corridor Study and Strategic Advisor on the Australian Trade Coast Transport Study and Gladstone State Development Area infrastructure land use project. Ross' 30 year career at Queensland Rail culminated in his appointment as Group General Manager - Technical Services, where he was responsible for 500 professional and technical staff across all rail engineering disciplines. Ross joined Ranbury in 2003. Ross is a graduate of the University of Queensland.

Scott Kennelly

As an Executive Director and Principal of Ranbury's Property and Building Group, Scott plays a key role in leading the development and growth of Ranbury as well as undertaking senior project roles such as Project Director on Ipswich CBD Redevelopment and Gold Coast Rapid Transit. With over 25 years of experience in the engineering, construction, and property industries, he has gained broad-ranging experience which is key to the management and delivery of today's multi-discipline projects. A services engineer, Scott gained extensive experience both here and in the UK on projects such as central energy plants for industrial facilities, laundries, hospitals, computer data centres, laboratories, pharmaceutical and IT clean rooms. As a project manager, he has delivered major public projects. These projects span public infrastructure, such as libraries, schools, hospitals, museums, convention centres, and courthouses, as well as commercial facilities such as office towers, and residential unit developments. Scott has acted as a development manager for the sale or redevelopment of large parcels of land, often with challenges of decontamination and heritage listing. He has extensive experience acting for the government and engaging with the development industry through EOI's to deliver public infrastructure outcomes via property value capture. Scott has qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Master of Business Administration, and a Graduate Diploma in Computer Controlled Systems. He is a member of Engineers Australia and is registered with the Australian Institute of Project Management at the level of Master Project Director. Scott is a graduate of the Queensland University of Technology.

Tony Carroll

Tony has worked in the property and project management consulting industry for over 20 years. He has delivered projects across many sectors of the property and transportation industries including education, defence, aviation, civic, justice, commercial, retail, and sport and recreation. Tony began his career delivering projects as an Engineer and Project Management Consultant before leading teams as a Project Director and finally progressed into general business management. He has held executive leadership roles on significant projects, including the $1.4B Facilities required to support the new Joint Strike Fighters Project for the Department of Defence and the National Remediation Program of over 50 Caltex sites. In addition to this leadership experience, Tony has successfully delivered in excess of 80 capital projects across multiple sectors as a Project Director and Project Management Consultant, including management of both internal and external project teams. Having joined Ranbury in August 2019, Tony is based in our Sydney office and is tasked with managing the property and buildings business for New South Wales & Canberra.
