Kenneth Ray, Raysteel founder and current President was raised in Pittsburgh. Ken has been involved in just about every area of the steel industry- from his early beginnings as a machine operator to today. Ken attended the University of New Mexico and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architecture. While pursuing his education, he worked part time as a rebar detailer and, upon graduation, went on to work for two major steel fabrication companies where he mastered drafting, project management, estimating and sales. Ken is still involved with the day to day operations at Raysteel and remains committed to his customers and their satisfaction.

Raysteel Inc. co-founder Mike Atencio was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico and began his career in the US Army where he specialized in personnel management. After serving his country, he went on to obtain his construction drafting degree and worked for several steel companies where he learned every aspect of steel fabrication-purchasing, manufacturing, production, estimation, shipping and detailing. Mike oversees the major operations of Raysteel Inc.
Thomas Ray is a third-generation steel man. He worked for a few years in commercial and residential real estate, and then returned to school to pursue his MBA with a concentration in finance. After completing his degree in 2002, Thomas joined his father as a partner at Raysteel Inc. to oversee the financial side of the business. Although finance is his specialty, Thomas wears many hats including estimating, project management and quality control.
