Dr. Brad Esplin

Dr. Esplin has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1995. He graduated from Colorado State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995 after completing his undergraduate studies at Dixie College and the University of Utah. He was born and raised here in St. George where he grew up working on the family ranch. He and his wife have 8 children, 1 grandson, 1 dog and a horse. Dr. Esplin enjoys exercising with his wife and being with his children. He loves caring for people's pets and interacting with their owners.

Dr. Caleb Gwilliam

Dr. Gwilliam graduated from the Washington State University, Utah State University regional program of Veterinary Medicine 2019. He started his education right here in southern Utah and attended Snow Canyon High School, and Dixie State University for his undergraduate studies. His love for continued educations grew though veterinary medicine school with involvement in research, presiding over the student chapter of the AVMA, and president of the schools surgery club and many more. Dr. Gwilliam's love for animals started at a young age and becoming a veterinarian is the culmination of many dedicated years. Dr. Gwilliam enjoys small animal medicine/surgery and treats each patient as if it were his own. He loves learning and believes in continuing his education to provide the most current and up to date medicine and technology that veterinarian medicine has to offer. He is passionate about providing the best care possible and believes first and foremost to do what's best for his patients. He enjoys being outdoors, camping, hiking, building projects, photography, amateur rocketry but most of all spending time with his family. He and his wife Emilie have 4 children and his greatest joy is spending time with them. Dr. Gwilliam loves this profession and is honored to be a part of the Red Hills Animal Hospital family.

Dr. Jennifer Jaworski

Dr. Jaworski received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Ross University in 2016. After graduating, Dr. Jaworski completed a rotating internship at a specialty clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. She then went on to complete a specialty internship in dermatology at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego. She completed her three year dermatology residency at Animal Allergy and Dermatology Center of Indiana. Dr. Jaworski was awarded first place with the American College Of Veterinary Dermatology Peter J. Ihrke Resident Research Award for Clinical Science in 2022 for her study regarding "The Quality of Life of Veterinary Residents". Dr. Jaworski is a mother to three awesome human children and a couple of feisty felines. While she enjoys all forms of dermatological conditions, her strong interest is in allergies and how they affect the human-animal bond.

Dr. Lane Hansen

Dr. Lane Hansen, originally hails from Idaho Falls, Idaho and spent his teenage years in Sandy, Utah. He received a bachelor's degree in Animal Science from Brigham Young University in 1998 after spending two years in Salvador, Brasil as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lane married his wife, Heather, and moved to Mount Horeb, Wisconsin. There he trained for and volunteered with the Mount Horeb Fire Department and Emergency Service as a certified fire fighter and EMT-Basic. Within a year he concurrently attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Hansen was commissioned in 2001 into the US Army Veterinary Corps and entered Active Duty shortly after graduation with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2003. His first couple of assignments were on Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA which included a three-year stint as the Group Veterinarian for the First Special Forces Group (Airborne). Subsequently Lane was a resident in Small Animal Surgery at Colorado State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. At the completion of this training in 2012, he received a Master's of Surgery. He spent the next few years in a number of locations around the globe to care for Department Of Defense owned military working dogs, pets of military personnel and to train Army veterinary personnel. Major Hansen completed 20 years of military service before retiring in 2023. He received multiple awards and is a Senior Parachutist, Air Assault qualified and an Expert Field Medical Badge holder. Dr. Hansen relocated to St. George to be near family and will focus on providing surgical services to the greater St. George area. Lane and Heather have 5 boys and three cats. In his free time, he plans to enjoy the plentiful outdoor opportunities that abound in the area by cycling, hiking, climbing, recreating and volunteering in the community.

Dr. Scott Hannig

Dr. Hannig was born and raised in St. George. He attended Dixie High School and Dixie College. He obtained his bachelor's degree in BioVeterinary Science at Utah State University. He graduated with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM) from Washington State University in 2000. Upon graduation from WSU, Dr. Hannig and his wife moved their family to Henderson, NV where he practiced for seven years. He started as an associate but was soon a partner at American Pet Hospital located in Las Vegas, NV. In 2007 he had the opportunity to sell his hospital in Las Vegas and move back home to St. George where he became a partner in Red Hills Animal Hospital with Dr. Esplin. In 2013, Dr. Hannig and Dr. Esplin reached one of their career goals with the construction of their new, state-of-the-art facility they are currently in. In the Fall of 2019, their ability to serve more people and pets in the area will expand with the opening of their second hospital, Desert Hills Animal Hospital. Dr. Hannig and his wife have 5 children; four girls and one boy. They also have a dog named Macy and a cat named Stripes. Whether it is riding ATVs or Snowmobiles, hiking, camping, or fishing, he loves being in the outdoors with his family. He also enjoys traveling to new places and seeing new things when time permits. Dr. Hannig loves being a veterinarian and is passionate about offering the best care possible to each of his patients and their family. His greatest satisfaction comes from helping his patients be as healthy and comfortable as possible. By doing this, he feels he is making the lives of their human family members happier and more complete. He understands the value of the Human-Animal Bond. His special interests include internal medicine, dentistry, ultrasound, endoscopy, laparascopic procedures, preventive medicine, and senior pet care. Dr. Hannig currently serves on the boards of the Utah Veterinary Medical Association and Southwest Animal Emergency Hospital.
