REGISTRATION FDA

To protect the American public from health and terrorism risks, the United States Food & Drug Administration requires that all food facilities register. Foreign facilities that manufacture, process, pack, or hold food for consumption in the USA are required to register the facility with the US FDA unless food from that facility undergoes further processing by another non-US facility before the food is exported to the USA... "Prior Notice" of all food export shipments to the USA is required. Transmission of the FDA registration number and other details of the shipment assist the United States FDA in generating targeting criteria for examination of food import shipments.
