RF Therapeutics is a privately held, Canadian healthcare compnay. Dedicated to the discovery and development of new contrast agents for medical diagnostic imaging. Our first product is a tissue specific contrast agent for magnetic resonance imaging that reveals the precise location and size of dead tissue. These products may also be used in the techniques of PET and SPECT imaging... RF Therapeutics Inc. is developing a new type of CA, one that has a particular affinity for necrotic or dead tissue. Extensive preliminary research in Europe has shown that some metal complexes have a high affinity for dead tissue, while clearing the body, normally in a few hours... Currently, RF Therapeutics Inc. is conducting animal work at the University of British Columbia (UBC) using a model of reperfused cardiac damage (to mimic a heart attack) and MRI.
