ROXBORO ANIMAL HOSPITAL - Key Persons
Alanna started working with Roxboro Animal hospital in 2002 as a kennel assistant and moved into a veterinary assistant role within a few months. She started her education at Purdue University's Veterinary Technology Distance Learning Program and graduated in 2008. In 200-, she became a registered veterinary technician. She has a special place in her heart for cats, and has six of her own. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her son and daughter, visiting the zoo and having campfires.
Dr. Angela Meeler grew up in Roxboro, NC and attended NC State University where she received a degree in Animal Science. She graduated from North Carolina State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015 and has been practicing veterinary medicine in Raleigh, NC since 2016. She moved back home to the family farm in Roxboro in 2020 and is excited to be working in her home community again after such a long time away.
Her special interests lie in dermatology and neurology but she mostly just enjoys building a relationship with her clients and their pets. She is also an AVCA certified veterinary chiropractor since 2019. This means she has taken an optional extra step in her chiropractic training that required her to pass both a written and practical exam. The AVCA promotes quality in animal chiropractic based upon current and valid standards, providing a reliable indicator of competence.
Dr. Meeler spends her free time with her husband, Jeremy, one cat, Sasha, three miniature schnauzers, Riker, Data, and Jaylah, two miniature Australian shepherds, Crusher and Rebel, and sport mix, Sulu. She participates in various dog sports such as agility, flyball, disc, and dock diving. In addition to dogs and cats, she also has a love for horses, gaited horses specifically, and rides as much as time allows
Dr. Mary Grace Frazier was born in Greenville, NC but spent most of her childhood living in Fredericksburg, VA. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology degree from the College of William and Mary (Summa Cum Laude) in 2019. She completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024 and is excited to start her career at Roxoboro Animal Hospital.
Dr. Frazier has special interests in feline medicine, ultrasound, and dentistry. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, and snuggling with her 18 year old cat named Fritz.
Dr. Melina Efthimiadis ("Dr.E") grew up in Durham, North Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology degree from North Carolina State University (Summa Cum Laude) in 2003. She completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine where she graduated as valedictorian in 2007. She started her veterinary career at Roxboro Animal Hospital and then went on to manage and own a practice in Mebane, NC for 13 years. Dr. E is excited to return to Roxboro Animal Hospital to serve the animals and the people that love them in Roxboro.
