Bilal Hashmi - CFO

Bilal Hashmi is RestoreCore's Chief Financial Officer. As a CFO, Bilal oversees the Accounting, Business Support, Financial Planning and Analysis, Risk Management, Treasury, Human Resources, and IT. Bilal has years of experience building and leading finance teams. Prior to joining RestoreCore, Bilal recently served as the Corporate Controller at CertaPro Painters Ltd, the largest North American Painting Services Franchisor, where he oversaw the company's Accounting and Finance Function and was responsible for streamlining financial systems across the organization. Bilal has held finance-related positions at companies including The Vanguard Group and AFA foods. Bilal graduated from Pennsylvania State University with the bachelor's degree in Business and earned an MBA from Rosemont College.

Brian Mohan - COO

Brian Mohan currently serves in the role of Chief Operating Officer, a position he has held since 2010. In this capacity he is responsible for all aspects of operations. He holds multiple industry certifications from the IICRC including WRT, FSRT, AMRT, and ASD. Brian spent 12 years in the multi-family real estate industry, managing a portfolio of 5,000 market rent units stretching across the mid-Atlantic and New England regions. A graduate of Temple University, Brian holds a B.S. degree in Human Resource Management with a minor in Risk Management. He graduated Cum Laude in a class of over 6,000 graduates.

Jonathan Linden

Jonathan currently serves as RestoreCore's Director of Construction. Jonathan joined RestoreCore in 2012 as a construction project manager and became Director of Construction in 2021. His duties include Management of the reconstruction department team and ensuring proper financial and customer service performance are at the forefront of the department's goals at all times. His 8 years of project management experience, as well as his prior experience in property management and Human Resources provides him with the knowledge and perspective needed to affectively drive this department. He holds 2 IICRC certifications in smoke and water restorations, as well as an OSHA certification. Jonathan is a 2002 graduate of Villanova University, with a B.A. in Sociology.

Kaitlyn Bowman

  • Managing Director of SecureCore
Kaitlyn is the Managing Director of SecureCore, a sister-company of RestoreCore that provides disaster planning services nationally and to RestoreCore's top property management clients. Kaitlyn provides leadership and support for both RestoreCore and SecureCore, and is a member the Executive Leadership Team. In her seven years with RestoreCore, she has held several roles within the company, growing from an Executive Assistant and Sales and Marketing Coordinator, to an Internal Project Coordinator, to Program Manager, to Internal Operations Manager and, currently, to Managing Director of SecureCore. In her current role, she oversees the strategic growth, operations, marketing and sales of SecureCore. Throughout her time with RestoreCore, she has led the organization through various strategic projects, including a long term employee engagement culture initiative, implementation of new technology and project management systems, and new hire onboarding programs. Kaitlyn has a Master of Project Management degree from The Pennsylvania State University and a decade of strategic planning, sales and marketing experience for service-based businesses. Her personal mission is to help good businesses do good things for good people.

Michael Goldberg

Our founder, Michael Goldberg, started a small, high-end commercial and residential remodeling firm, specializing in restoring historic residences within the Central PA region in 1979. Together with his son, Andrew, the company was formally incorporated as a water and fire restoration company in the 1990s. Michael is a Master Electrician, Master Plumber and Master Carpenter. Andrew is a Certified Restorer and Water Loss Specialist. We provide our clients with the best of both worlds - best in class service backed by premier certifications and the personal touch of a family-owned business.

Rhonda Farrell - COO

Job Titles:
  • Director of Operations
Rhonda currently serves as the Director of Operations. In this role, she is responsible for management of the Inside Project Coordinator team, fleet management, core process, new technologies implementation, operating systems administration, and long-term project management. Rhonda holds 2 IICRC Industry Certifications and is a former property manager in the condominium and homeowner association industry. Rhonda has more than 15 years' experience in the disaster restoration and has filled many roles during that time.

Steve Sorkin

Steve Sorkin is the Chief Sales Officer and member of the Executive Leadership Team. Prior to joining RestoreCore, Steve ran national sales for ARS/RESCON (a national disaster restoration company) based in Boston, MA for 13 years. Under his leadership, the company experienced significant growth, especially in Commercial Business. Steve is a member of numerous property management organizations and sat on the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Apartment Association. Steve served as a Northeast Delegate to the National Apartment Association (NAA) and was appointed to the Board of Directors of the National Suppliers Council (NSC) at NAA in 2016. In 2018 Steve received the National Supplier Council Award of Excellence given annually to one person in the industry. Steve has been named Friend of the Year for both IREM Chapters #4 and #88 and regularly conducts seminars on Disaster Planning and Emergency Preparedness. Previously, Steve spent 12 years at Avery Dennison as an International Business Development Manager. He also coached college football in the Ivy League, at Harvard University, Columbia University, and University of Pennsylvania from 1983-1995. Steve graduated Wesleyan University in 1983 and has a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Albany. Steve resides in King of Prussia with his wife Aida. Their 2 children Matthew and Melissa both live in New York City.

Steven DeMaio

Steven DeMaio serves as the Director of Estimating. Charged with overseeing the estimating team and ensuring that accuracy and competitive pricing remain a top priority, he maintains a sharp focus on leveraging technology to achieve RestoreCore's client-focused goals. He joined RestoreCore's estimating team in 2019 as a Reconstruction Estimator, moving to Senior Estimator, with almost 2 decades of prior experience from various positions in the restoration and construction industries. He brings an important perspective to the role, with many years of hands-on experience in the trades and over a decade as a Construction Project Manager, managing a diverse portfolio of projects similar to those that he now quantifies into estimates.

Tony Kapranos

Job Titles:
  • Director of Emergency Services
Tony Kapranos currently serves as the Director of Emergency Services. In this role, he is responsible for all the emergency services operations of the company. He holds 13 IICRC Industry certifications and is a Master Water Restorer and Fire & Smoke Restorer. Prior to his time at RestoreCore, he spent many years as a certified home inspector specializing in residential, commercial, structural, mold and air quality inspections. A graduate of Virginia Tech, Tony holds a B.S. in Engineering, and is a certified architectural draftsman.
