Growing up in Johnston and Saydel. Dave spent much of his childhood outdoors hunting, fishing, cycling, and swimming. After graduating as class President of Saydel Highschool, Dave pursued an art degree from Grandview University. Although he didn't finish at Grandview, he has always considered himself a nonpracticing artist using his artistic "eye" and creativity to accomplish his goals as a woodworker. Dave considers himself a craftsman and enjoys building one off items.

Growing up on a farm in Weslaco, Texas, Donna had a passion for art and thought that she would teach. After spending time in the classroom, she decided on a different approach and received a degree in interior design from Drake University. Donna Alley, has more than 15 years of decorative painting and interior design experience, she specializes in walking clients through the design process to ensure that their dream for newly remodeled space is realized. From the selection of flooring, countertops and finishes to furniture, shades, blinds and other components of interior design, Donna's work centers on matching the style and taste of clients with the overall scope of and their vision for home improvement or renovation projects.

Growing up in Denison, Iowa, Jason Anderson had a love for math and science and always envisioned himself working with lasers. After high school he followed a girl out to the east coast, eventually settling down with her in Boston, MA. Luckily that girl had a connection at a remodeling company and encouraged him to apply to help support their soon to be growing family. When they decided to return to Iowa, Jason's wife insisted that they live in the city and they settled in Des Moines.

Marc Black

From Fort Dodge, Iowa, Marc Black grew up a small town farm boy. He remembers playing with Legos, Lincoln Logs, and other tinker toys, and it didn't take long for him to realize what his dream job would be. Confirming he had found his passion after taking drafting and CAD courses in high school, he immediately decided he wanted to be an architect. During Marc's junior year of high school he entered a contest where he designed a ranch style home. Marc's plan won and his reward was to be part of the actual build-out of his winning plan during his senior year. With this hands on experience, Marc realized he loved the construction side of the business more than the architectural side. After his high school graduation, Marc went to Iowa Central Community College and received his Vo-Tech degree in carpentry. Marc Black CGR, CAPS is a 2022 Fred Case Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist, 2015 Remodeler of the Year, and a member of the 2015 Professional Remodeler Magazines list of the top 40 under 40 in the nation. With over 20 years of experience in the residential remodeling and home building industry, Marc became a partner in Fleming Construction in 2017 which merged with Remodeling Contractors in 2020.

Ritch Miller

After growing up in Des Moines, Ritch moved to Omaha with his new bride Peggy to follow a career in the phone industry. Due to a change in the economy, Ritch found himself looking for another opportunity and luckily ended up working for a cabinet shop and then later remodeling for a master carpenter. After 10 years in Nebraska, they headed back to Des Moines and in 1998 found himself working with Rollie Clarkson at Remodeling Contractors. Ritch is Remodeling Contractors most experienced project lead, with over 22 years with the company he works on all aspects of a project from managing trade partners to sourcing materials. He enjoys the challenges involved in learning about the customers vision and then making it happen. His favorite part of remodeling is the trim carpentry and feels he is in the people business more than the building business.

Zak Fleming

Zak Fleming, originally from Ankeny IA, grew up knowing he would be an entrepreneur. It all started with him and his brother selling fruits from his parents garden in a small stand outside of the local grocery store. With candy being the priority, all of those profits ended up being spent in that store as soon as they were earned. Zak Fleming CGR, is a Master Electrician, 2022 Fred Case Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist, 2016 Remodeler of the Year and member of Professional Remodeler's 40 under 40 class of 2014. He has over 25 years of experience in all facets of the construction industry. Zak founded Fleming Construction in 2001 at age 23, which later became Remodeling Contractors. Zak is an owner of Remodeling Contractors and oversees every aspect of the business, working as a consultant with each function within the company, and brainstorming as needed on decisions and projects. Zak believes that the Remodeling Contractors' team is a unique, qualified group of self-starting, individual entrepreneurs all blending their strengths together to create on amazing team. He takes a hands-on approach to meeting customer expectations for exceptional service during and after the job.
