Known for his excellent leadership skills and project management abilities, Cliff has experience managing small to large multi-discipline projects. He is an expert in master planning and modeling culinary water systems and wastewater collection systems. He has worked with multiple municipalities across Utah.

Darren is skilled in pipeline construction management, system commissioning, start-up and system operations, manuals, and operator qualification training. Derek's expertise includes drinking water source (well and spring) development and protection, hydraulics, hydrology, geotechnical engineering, hydroelectric evaluation and design, and geothermal resource investigation and assessment. His experience is wide-ranging, from drainage and dam break studies to sediment transport analysis to dam embankment, hydraulic structure, and pipeline design. Derek has a deep understanding of water-related codes and regulations, including those of the Utah State Dam Safety.

Geoff's experience working for the Arizona Department of Transportation lends him singular insight into his current project management of roadway, drainage and utility projects for the Cities of Mesa, Tempe, Chandler and Phoenix. Greg received his B.S.E. in Civil Engineering from Arizona State University in 1993 and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Arizona and Utah.

James Short is the Sunrise Engineering Project Manager for all Utah DFCM projects. He has served as an inspector and/or project coordinator on over 20 major DFCM projects; he has a thorough understanding of the organization's processes and procedures. James is registered as an ICC Certified Building, Electrical, Plumbing and Mechanical Inspector.
Jason specializes in the design and construction management of water systems, and has extensive experience in culinary water, wastewater, storm water and city engineering projects such as roadway repair and replacement. His regional civil engineering experience includes projects in Wyoming, Idaho, and Utah. Jason currently serves as the Principal-in-Charge of the Afton office.
Jeff has experience working with big gas companies like PG&E, Southwest Gas, and Dominion, as well as their contractors. He helps them with training and testing for Pipe Joining and Operator qualifications. He's also been involved in smaller projects for the cities of Wilcox and Victorville. Jeff is known for his dedication and expertise, making him an essential part of the energy industry, improving safety and efficiency for gas operations.

Joe has been personally involved in over 50 parks, trails, and recreation facilities; he understands how to successfully coordinate the regulations and clearances necessary on large multi-discipline projects of this type.

Over 28 years ago, Mark began a fulfilling career with Sunrise Engineering. During the ensuing years, his primary focus has been to lead this local company that was comprised of 14 employees when he began and is now a growing regional multi-disciplinary firm. Mark has held several leadership roles at the firm, including over 19 years as a Sunrise Engineering Board Member. He oversaw the creation of five new service divisions: electrical engineering, building code services, materials testing, natural gas pipeline engineering, and energy training.

With nearly 20 years of experience - 18 of which has been spent in natural gas design - Marty has worked on projects throughout the western states. His project experience includes natural gas distribution system design, gas replacement design, high pressure transmission design, SWG natural gas distribution, and natural gas projects for California, Suncor Energy, Tinker Airforce Base, and Solvay Chemicals. He is highly trained in AutoCAD and specifically in gas replacement and high-pressure transmission design. He also is experienced in FOMS entry.
Nick has 19 years of experience in civil design and land survey projects in the residential, commercial, federal, and municipal arenas. He has held a National Society of Professional Surveyors Certification since 2009 and has extensive experience managing design teams on various types of projects, including roadway, water, sewer, and drainage design projects, both domestically and abroad. His skills include project coordination, project documentation, 3D design/modeling, and QA/QC review.
