I was born in Otley in the North of England in June 1975. In between summers working in France, I studied for a B.A. in French at Liverpool University between 1994 and 1998, and then went on to train as a translator at Salford University the following year. Having moved over to France following graduation, after some limited teaching experience, I joined "Cabinet Chapman", a translation agency in Bordeaux, during the course of 2000, where I honed my skills and gained valuable knowledge and experience in a number of domains. After 4 years living in the village of Yvrac, on the outskirts of Bordeaux, and five years in Héric to the north of Nantes, I now live in the village of Saint Macaire in the Garonne Valley with my wife, two daughters and son.
